“Samuel went above and beyond when it came to keeping me informed about how it was going during his stay!! I will 100% be using him again!! Our boys loved him and I'm so thankful for Rover for connecting us to Samuel!!!”

“This was my first time using the app and was a bit skeptical as trusting someone with my pup is a huge relief when going on vacation. Charlotte went above and beyond my expectations with communication, care, and making sure my questions were answered with live updates while I was gone. She will continue to have my business and I can now travel with ease knowing that my dog is in good hands. (If you are on the fence whether to board or book house sitting go with house sitting and chose this app with the quality of care and your dog will thank you) Thank you charlotte for your services!”

About: Hi! I am Laine. I am an aspiring Personal Trainer with a lifelong love for animals and a high-energy approach to pet care. Growing up in a home that was always welcoming new pets, I became comfortable around all types of personalities and species early on. While I am still building my professional toolkit in the world of formal training, I bring a massive amount of dedication, physical stamina, and a commitment to following your pets specific routines. Whether your dog needs a high-intensity walk to burn off energy or just an attentive companion while you’re away, I’m excited to provide a reliable and active environment for them. I’m currently in school so my schedule is extremely flexible with online classes and I work one day a week! I am early to rise and early to bed! I am extremely vigilant and highly trustworthy. My goal is to treat your home and pet like my own. I'm happy to provide regular photo updates so you can have total peace of mind.
“Kyelene was a wonderful blessing to us over Thanksgiving! She stayed with our pup so we were able to visit family. Kyelene was great about following instructions on how to best care for our pup and left our home spot free. We'll definitely be using Kyelene again!”

About: I have had experience with every age of both dogs and cats from newborn to senior. I've bottle fed puppies and kittens, potty trained them, adopted them out, kept some, raised them through their adult life, and cared for them as seniors. I've also taken in many strays and fosters and nursed them back to health, whether it was some scratches or they just weren't doing good, and found good homes for them. I know how to bottle feed, ween, potty train, groom, give medication, clean/sanitize injuries, and much more. I also volunteer in humane societies so that has given me advice and techniques for helping earn animals trust, especially when they are being boarded in an unknown house. I work from home so I am almost always there, unless I have to run to the store or do some quick errands. If I happen to visit friends or family, go to a sit down restraunt, or do anything else that might take longer, it will never be for more than 2-3 hours. I do not kennel unless necessary or if requested (during feedings, if I have to run somewhere, in emergencies, ect.), so they will have free reign otherwise. If they have a feeding schedule, great, if not, I'll make sure the bowls always full. Fresh water is always available in multiple locations. I don't have a fence so dogs will always be leashed going outside and will be taken whenever they want to or every couple hours. Cats litter boxes are spot cleaned once a day, and switched once a week or when needed if they will be staying for longer. My golden rule is treat others how you want to be treated, and that extends to animals aswell. I don't yell, ignore, or force anything to do something that isn't necessary. Obviously no one wants to take medication, but if they have to, I'll be as quick and careful giving it as I can.

Currently, unemployed due to just moving here. I am an RN, but looking to transfer over the to the animal world. I also do yoga! Yard is not fenced, but I live in a gated community. “Stacy was absolutely incredible with our with our pup! We seriously cannot say enough good things about her! We greatly appreciated her taking the time to do a meet and greet with him so he would be comfortable with her before she stayed. We knew right away that she has a true passion and great knowledge of caring for dogs. He instantly took to her calming nature. Our boxer gets a little separation anxiety from us being away and her compassion for making sure he felt loved and comfortable put him right at ease. She truly went above and beyond. As a worried dog mom, her constant updates made me feel so much better knowing he was doing well. I loved getting her frequent photos and videos of him through the day. She stayed at our home over the 4th of July weekend and we had some periods where fireworks were giving him anxiety as well. She was so patient with him and stayed in his room with him so he felt comforted. When we arrived home our house was left just the way we left and our boy was happy as can be! We won’t go to anyone else for watching our boy! If you have the opportunity to book with Stacy you will be so lucky! We are so grateful we found her.”

About: Me and dogs get eachother. I’ve worked at a human society for 3 years. I have 2 dogs and every dog I come in contact with loves me. It fits in more than taking care of myself. Dogs should be treated better than any human being. Dogs are perfect and deserve the world. Like they are little humans. Take care of them until you can tell that they are comfortable or relaxed and then pet them more to make sure them feel loved.
“This was my first time booking pet sitting through Rover with my dog and Jordyn made it so easy! She was great at communicating exactly when she could get to him, sent me multiple pictures and updates everyday, and I never doubted he was being well taken care of. She stayed at my apartment and left the place exactly as when she got there. My typically very nervous/shy dog warmed up to her very quickly and didn’t even need the anxiety meds he often gets when I’m away. I would absolutely book with her again!”

“I have used Angela twice for 1-2 weeks when I was out of the country. She does a wonderful job with both my dogs, one puppy, and one very old dog. When I used to the second time, they seemed extremely glad to see her She even watered my plants! I highly recommend.”

About: I’ve been caring for pets for 5 years, and it honestly never feels like “work” — it feels like hanging out with the cutest little personalities on the planet. I’ve looked after energetic pups, shy rescues, seniors who need a slower pace, and everything in between. I understand pet body language, I adapt to their vibe, and I know how to make them feel safe, happy, and understood. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just giving them company when they’re missing their humans, I match my energy to what your pet needs. My goal is always the same: keep your pet comfortable, calm, and cared for. Because I’m currently job hunting, I have plenty of free time to dedicate to your pet. That means more availability for drop-ins, flexible scheduling, and longer, more relaxed walks or hangouts if your pet needs extra attention. Your pet will never feel rushed — they get my full time, full presence, and full patience. Your pet’s safety is my biggest priority. I take a very intentional, calm approach to care so your pet always feels secure and protected. I pay attention to the details — locked gates, secure leashes, clean water, correct feeding times, and any specific instructions you share. Trust matters, and I work to earn it with both you and your pet.

FAQs for House Sitting - Mount Hope
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 218 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Mount Hope. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Mount Hope walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Mount Hope maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mount Hope choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mount Hope. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 89% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
