About: Over 20 years as a dog owner. I'm semi-retired. I've been watching friends' and friends of friends' pets for years. I've been the only house/dog sitter for a pair of Dalmatians for the last 5 years. I've handled puppies that are still working on becoming housebroken as well as senior dogs that need regular medication and extra care. I do in-home tech support/ IT work. When a customer's animals have warmed up to me, I've been asked if I did pet sitting as well. It feels good when the pet picks you. My working schedule is very flexible, I'm usuably able to adjust it to make sure I'm available to see to your pet's needs. If I commit to caring for your critters they will be my scheduling priority. I don't have pets in my own home. When house/pet sitting, besides feeding, walking and picking up after the pets I'm capable of handling household issues that might come up.

About: I’ve loved caring for pets for years and have hands-on experience with both dogs and cats. I was the primary caregiver for a family friend’s dog for over a year during COVID and have also looked after my uncle’s dog during multi-week stays. I make sure every dog gets plenty of walks, park time, exercise, and socialization, along with feeding, pee pad changes, and a clean, happy home. I’ve also cared for about five cats over the years and currently have a cat of my own. I know how to keep cats happy, healthy, and comfortable with feeding, litter box care, and plenty of gentle attention. I love spending time with animals, making sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away. I am currently attending hartnell college as a full time student and athlete. As every semester changes due to classes, my practice schedule is always consistent. I am unavailable from 12-3 everyday, other than that I am completely available depending on my class schedule! I am available on Saturday all day, Sunday I am available after 10am. When I care for pets in a clients home, I like to treat their space and the pets as if it’s my own. I follow each pets routine closely, I make sure feeding is on time, fresh water is provided, and giving a lot of affection. For dogs I make sure to take daily walks, visit parks or local areas for exercise and socialization if that’s what the dog feels comfortable with, and to make sure they get a good amount of stimulation and play time. For cats I maintain litter boxes, cozy and warm resting spots, and prioritize spending quality time playing or even just keeping them company so they’re not alone. I also keep the home clean and organized, tidy up any messes, and make sure the environment stays safe and comfortable for the pets. My goal is always to help pets feel happy, relaxed, and loved while their owners are away.

About: Ive been an animal lover since I was little, Ive had all types of animals growing up and absolutely love caring for all pets. My roommates travel often and I take care of their senior dog Riley, he is deaf and blind so he needs a lot of extra TLC. I am local to south salinas, I have my own business and make my own schedule. I have my office 3 mins away from home so have the flexibility. Commutation is the most important thing for me, making sure you have updates about your pet and making sure they feel safe and protected weather it’s on a walk or home sitting.

About: I’ve always had a genuine love for dogs and believe they deserve the same patience, attention, and care we would give our own family. As a dog walker and pet sitter, I focus on making every walk and visit a positive, comfortable experience while keeping your pet’s safety and routine a top priority. What sets me apart is that I treat every dog as an individual. I take the time to learn their personality, energy level, favorite activities, and specific needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether your pup loves a long walk, needs extra cuddles, or simply wants a calm companion, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I’m dependable, communicative, and attentive to the little details. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident knowing your fur baby is happy and well cared for while you’re away. My goal is simple: for your pet to feel safe, loved, and excited to see me again! 🐾 I currently not employed and have alot of flexibility. I enjoy incorporating walks, playtime, feeding, and plenty of love throughout the day. I’m also flexible and understand that every pet has a different routine. I’m happy to follow their normal feeding, walking, medication, and bedtime schedules so they feel comfortable and at home. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Most importantly, I take the time to understand each pet’s personality and needs so they feel comfortable, cared for, and loved. 🐾

About: Being a previous doggie owner who I raised from puppyhood, I have experience taking care of dogs at all stages of life, and of all breeds and sizes. I also have experience taking care of livestock, I owned a horse, and have lived on a goat and chicken farm. I connect very much with animals of all kinds and am happy to give them love, nourishment, exercise and comfort. I am unable to have a doggie or kittie of my own right now so having the honor of caring for your furry family member gives my life meaning and enrichment <3 I am going to school currently online through a college out of San Fransisco. The rest of the time I have free to spend with your animal and take care of your home! I like to wake up early and go for a walk and have plenty of time between study sessions to go on walks and care for your pet. I will give regular walks, feed at the same time each day and offer a lot of cuddles and support. I know sometimes animals can feel anxious when their person is away..being a previous dog owner I understand that and I will treat your pet with the upmost consideration for their feelings and do everything to help them relax while their people. :)

About: Hi there! I am a recent college graduate I am currently working as a medical assistant to gain more extensive patient care experience prior to applying for PA school. During this gap year before grad school I figured I should use my strong love for animals when I stumbled across this app. My family and I typically work as a unit to care for the pets we board so that someone is constantly providing care to your fur babies. I have a few pets of my own and have provided care for them since I was young so I am extremely comfortable with offering the highest quality care & safety. Feel free to reach out:)) I work part time currently so I have a fairly open schedule but my family is also a great support and give just as much love to all the animals boarded with us as I do :) I have lots of safety protocols to ensure that my pets at home are safe and I think it’s important I keep them on a steady routine.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Morse. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include a map of the walking route, the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poop breaks recorded by the walker.

The route map lets you review where your dog was walked in Morse after the booking. It is not live GPS tracking.

This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
