About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for my family for about a year now, and I’ve been wanting to walk dogs for a while now, and I believe I’m the best choice for your needs. I am currently on summer break, so I’ll have plenty of time to spend with you animals! I am available any day of the week from 7am-9PM. I live in a house with a fenced in yard that my cat loves to play in. He loves to go on rides weekly. I also clean out his litter box daily.
About: I have worked and been around animals since I was born. I use to work for a reserve rehabilitator and animal shop owner. I have worked with many breeds of cats and dogs and understand each one can be uniquely different. What works for one may not always work for another. I’m retired navy so I have all day to work with your animals. I can do drop ins throughout the day to check on them to let them out or take on a walk. Pretty flexible schedule. In my home I have a 5 year old husky who has been raised around cats and puppies. He is good at helping correct puppies. He has had one litter of his own pups. I do not have a fenced yard, but can take them on leash in the yard and live in a nice neighborhood to walk your animal. If you want crate training I have a couple already here at the house
About: I really love animals, big and small, long and short haired, high energy and low energy, cats, dogs, reptiles and all. Whatever friend you have, I am more than glad to help you make sure they are given the time and love they deserve. I am off for the summer and very excited to spend time with your loved pets. I should be free during the week days in the summer. If you go on vacation or want to do something away from the house, you can be sure your pets will still be loved on and taken well care of. I will keep pets in my sight, and tend to their needs and wants to the best of my ability. I will make sure they have been fed, take walks, bathroom breaks, and are given lots of love.

About: With over five years of hands-on pet care experience, I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I’m attentive to each dog’s unique needs — from energetic play sessions and long walks to quiet cuddle time. I’m experienced with basic training reinforcement, feeding schedules, bathing, and giving medication when needed. My goal is to provide a safe, loving environment so your dog feels happy and secure while you’re away, giving you complete peace of mind. Available for house sitting any day of the week. On Mon–Wed, I won’t be at the home 24/7, but I’ll still provide regular check-ins, potty breaks every 2–4 hours, and overnight stays as needed. Whether I’m caring for your pets in your home or mine, I treat them like family — the same way I care for my own two fur babies, Romi (my sweet Schnauzer) and Mocha (my playful Yorkie). Every day, I make sure they get plenty of fresh water, nutritious meals on schedule, regular potty breaks, and walks that match their energy levels. We play, cuddle, and keep a routine that makes them feel secure and loved. I bring that same approach to every pet I look after — paying attention to their unique personality, comfort level, and needs. I’m mindful of safety on walks, keeping pets away from hazards and monitoring them closely around other animals. During pet sitting visits, I make sure your pet gets not just the basics, but also companionship, mental stimulation, and affection. Whether it’s a quick potty break, a midday walk, or staying overnight, I’ll follow your instructions to the letter while giving your pet all the love and care they deserve.
About: I have taken care of dogs and cats my entire life. I have either had my own or helped neighbors and family with theirs. I have had to do things like feed, walk and play with peoples pets both while they were out of town and while they had a busy work schedule. It is something I genuinely enjoy. I currently have a work from home job that allows me to work with pets most days and most times - I have a very flexible routine because of this. I do have three cats at home so care in my home would pose difficulties. I would mostly want to care for them in your home so they feel most comfortable too!

“Nicole was amazing! I contacted her last minute to walk my pup and she was completely willing to help me out. Copper seemed happy when we arrived home later. I would definitely book her again :)”

About: I have experience with all breeds big or small, all ages they are well cared for. I own a two year old German shepherd mix, she loves play and looks forward to making new friends. I will keep up with the schedule you have them set on, and I can administer medication/ ointment. I’m a navy reservist so my schedule is flexible, breakfast is served around 8. Then a morning walk around 9, there’s a park in my apartment so we can stop there hangout till 930. Around noon they’ll be taken out again and they’ll be out till about 1pm. The rest day will be filled with enrichment activities, and lots of playing. Dinner is served around 530-6. And they’ll be let out one more time around 7, hangout for an hour or so. Then they’ll be crated around 830-9. There is a dog park located at my apartment complex, they’ll have free access to. I’ll take them to a much bigger area to go run and play. And we’ll go on longer walks.
“My dog Kobe is a high energy breed who needs his speed walks everyday. When I am sick or away, I needed to find someone who can give him the high energy walks he needs and I found that perfect person in Darya! I have used her three times already and already booked her for three more. Kobe comes home happy, excited and tired all in one. Darya has exceeded my expectations!”

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Modoc. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Modoc.

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Modoc. On Rover:
- 100% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
