“Jessica is amazing! Maggie absolutely loves her. She is so sweet and communicative and knows how to handle my anxious dog. She’s also very flexible and takes the best pictures to send me. We feel very lucky to have found Jessica!!”

About: If you're looking for someone to watch your pets while you're away, then look no further. I have been taking care of my own animals my whole life, and have sat for other people on numerous occasions. I have also assisted with much of the care and feeding of a dog and several cats over the years. I live in South St. Louis City, and I can only really work there or in areas near there, but if you live close to me you will never be without the help you need. I can stay in your house if you'd like me to, but I can't keep other people's pets in my house because I have a very nervous and shy cat who would be made uncomfortable by this and a crazy dog who might scare your pets. I repeat: I can stay in your house or I can just pop in and out to take care of your pets, but I cannot have outside animals stay in my home. I also walk dogs. The rates for that might be a little bit different, but I assure you they will still be affordable. I will be your pet's new best friend and your asset when you are in a pinch or are going somewhere and can't take care of them. I have loved animals since I was a child, and I rarely find one with which I don't get along. I don't have a job which will take me out of town frequently, so I can provide my services as long as they are needed. I look forward to meeting you and your adorable animal friends! I have availability on weekdays as well as weekends Message me and we can talk about scheduling a time for me to walk your dog I will make sure the animal gets whatever care they need I am not a vet though, so if your animal is sickly and/or old then I don't know how well I can care for them
“Nancy is amazing! She is very responsive, communicative, prompt, and an obvious lover of dogs! She took Buckley on midday walks while we were gone for over 10 days and kept me well informed and often spent extra time with him. Will definitely be booking again!”

About: I’ve loved and cared for pets my whole life! Dogs of all ages, guinea pigs, fish, and more. I truly enjoy giving animals love, attention, and fun! It is especially fulfilling to care for your pets while being away from mine while at school. With no evening classes this semester, I have plenty of flexibility in the mornings and afternoons. I am excited to use that time caring for your fur babies! I give dogs freedom to sniff, stroll, and play at their pace—always sticking to their routine and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved.
“Danielle was very responsive and provided plenty of details on the walk! Will definitely reach out to her first for any additional dog walking needs!”

“Clay was fantastic! He was friendly and professional during the meet and greet, and his communication has been responsive and polite. He arrived on time for my pup's walk and sent me a photo.”

About: Hey, I’m Ross. I’ve been dog and cat sitting in the St. Louis area for the last 8 years. I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of all sizes and demeanors including all kinds of doodle mixes (big and small), Boston Terriers, Labradors, Chihuahuas, Gold Retrievers, Jack Russell Terriers, Great Pyrenees, Bulldogs, and many more. Most of my experience has been staying at my client’s houses for a few days up to a few weeks, doing middle-of-the-day check-ins, and doing some dog walks. I’ve been the preferred dog / cat sitter for a family of veterinarians for the last 8 years. They’ve had up to five dogs and a cat at one time. My long-time girlfriend and I also share our home with our beloved cat, Appa. My approach is to stick to my client’s pets’ routines as closely as possible and to have fun! Ultimately, the most important thing is keeping your pet safe, healthy, and comfortable, all the rest is just having a good time with your pet friends. I love getting outside, getting my steps in on long walks, and playing fetch, tug-of-war, chase the ping pong ball or whatever is your pet’s jam. Whenever I’m unable to pet sit for my clients, they often muse that it’s hard to find someone else trustworthy to look after their pets. I build trust by doing what I say I will, communicating frequently and consistently, asking questions (and being an active listener), and treating people’s pets like they’re my own. After all, I understand the anxiety that comes with leaving your pet in someone else’s hands, and I want my clients to feel like their pet sitter cares (close to) as much as they do. I have a fully remote job so I can work anywhere with an internet connection. The job offers a high level of flexibility and allows me to take periodic breaks throughout the day to tend to any of your pet's needs if I'm staying at your home. I'm also open to walks or check-ins on weekends or after 5pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Typically, I stay overnight in my client's homes when they are out of town. I closely read and adhere to all instructions provided. If at all possible, I'll stick to the same routine that your pet is used to. I tend to error on the side of caution when encountering other dogs or people and avoid interactions until I know the pet well and know how they'll react.
“KB was everything Boyd wanted in a dog walker/friend for an afternoon! Friendly, reliable, accommodating, and even took him out to a park his dad never took him to before! Will definitely work with her again!”

About: Hi all! I’m Jen. I teach preschool and kindergarten in the mornings, and in the afternoon/evenings I enjoy spending my time working with animals. I have many years of experience petsitting and housesitting, as well as doing drop-in visits for cats and walks for dogs. I currently have one cat of my own, but I’ve had dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, and chinchillas in the past. Please reach out to me with any questions! I look forward to caring for your animals. I am available for overnight care in your home, as well as drop-in visits or walks in the afternoons and evenings. I do not offer boarding or care in my home at this time. I have years of experience working with clients in their homes through babysitting and petsitting. I will treat your pets wonderfully and your house with respect.
Missouri Botanical Garden dog parents share their Rover experiences
Rose did an excellent job taking care of my dog. She was on time for the scheduled walks, sent an appropriate amount of photos, and was great with communication. She also followed the instructions in regards to turning lights on and off at the correct times, and locking the doors. She is definitely a 5 star sitter. 🙂

We are so grateful for Jessica! She is incredibly reliable, always quick to respond, and truly goes above and beyond for our dog. She has even made time for last-minute visits when meetings pop up unexpectedly, which has been a lifesaver. We couldn’t ask for a more caring, dependable, and thoughtful dog sitter...highly recommend!

Stephen is absolutely amazing! Cannot recommend him enough! He is always willing to come and walk our dog and spend time with him, and does an amazing job every time. He always makes the extra effort to give us good updates which makes the experience that much better!

Nancy is amazing! She is very responsive, communicative, prompt, and an obvious lover of dogs! She took Buckley on midday walks while we were gone for over 10 days and kept me well informed and often spent extra time with him. Will definitely be booking again!
