“Tammy has been doing daily weekday walks with my dog about about two months now and does a fantastic job. She treats my dog with love and care and is very reliable. In rare cases when a scheduling conflict came up, she let me know well in advance so I could plan for it. I couldn’t ask for a better person to walk my dog.”

“Katie is dependable and a lifesaver for my little dog who loves his walks. I’ve referred her to my neighbor and I recommend hiring her for your dog.”

“Uğer could not be more kind and patient with my energetic young dogs. He has also been reliable and very communicative as a dog walker. You can really tell how much he loves dogs. I could not recommend him higher and will request his services any time I need care for my pups.”

About: If you're looking for someone to watch your pets while you're away, then look no further. I have been taking care of my own animals my whole life, and have sat for other people on numerous occasions. I have also assisted with much of the care and feeding of a dog and several cats over the years. I live in South St. Louis City, and I can only really work there or in areas near there, but if you live close to me you will never be without the help you need. I can stay in your house if you'd like me to, but I can't keep other people's pets in my house because I have a very nervous and shy cat who would be made uncomfortable by this and a crazy dog who might scare your pets. I repeat: I can stay in your house or I can just pop in and out to take care of your pets, but I cannot have outside animals stay in my home. I also walk dogs. The rates for that might be a little bit different, but I assure you they will still be affordable. I will be your pet's new best friend and your asset when you are in a pinch or are going somewhere and can't take care of them. I have loved animals since I was a child, and I rarely find one with which I don't get along. I don't have a job which will take me out of town frequently, so I can provide my services as long as they are needed. I look forward to meeting you and your adorable animal friends! I have availability on weekdays as well as weekends Message me and we can talk about scheduling a time for me to walk your dog I will make sure the animal gets whatever care they need I am not a vet though, so if your animal is sickly and/or old then I don't know how well I can care for them

About: I've been volunteering with my local animal shelters for the past 5 years, serving as both a short- and long-term foster parent. This has given me experience managing dogs with a very wide array of behavior and temperament ranging from extremely well-trained to pretty much feral! I love it. Before that, I was the go-to pet and house sitter in my neighborhood as a teenager for dog and cat (and plant) families. I'm currently doing part time work from home on my own schedule, so I am very flexible as to when I can accept clients - weekends, weekdays, overnight all work. Since I am currently renting I cannot look after other people's pets at my own place, but I am open to going most places in the Saint Louis region! Depending on your distance from me and frequency of care, I can either stay at your place or commute each time.

“We found Jamie when we were looking for someone to walk our 2 dogs while I was out of town and my husband had 12 hour work shifts. We have a 10 month old and 2 year old pitbulls, and Jamie was wonderful with them!! He came over late at night and walked them nearly 2 miles every time, even in the pouring rain! He cleaned up when our puppy had an accident, and left wonderful notes so we could know how the visit went. We even told him he didn’t need to walk our older dog since the puppy is handful enough, but he easily walked both of them every time! We will definitely use Jamie again and again when we need a dog sitter!”

“Nicki was great! Punctual and super helpful. Helped ensure our wedding reception went off without a hitch!”

About: I've had my own pets since 1991. I had a rabbit and dog in college and have learned over the decades how to best care for our friends. I've just retired from a busy career, so I know how important it is to find someone to care for your animals when you're away; even if it's just the gym or happy hour after work. I've fostered for several area rescues and know folks have a different idea of appropriate care. I only use fear free methods, because our animals need to know they can trust us. I've had young high energy dogs who need play and long walks and I've cared for my dogs in their last years when they needed additional care or special medical needs including pills, dressings, eye drops and carrying older dogs who aren't as mobile anymore. I would love to get to know your pets and help you give them the best life. I'm currently retired and searching for part time employment. I don't mind early or late night visits since our dogs don't have a 9 to 5 schedule. I do have an active social and volunteering schedule but it's flexible enough to accommodate your needs. I have cared for many dogs who need to be crated or who are door dashers and escape artists. I have a calm energy that helps put pets at ease. I'm a fan of high value treats to make the crate a special place. My personal dogs are crate trained but I know that's not for everyone.

About: I've owned animals my whole life! from dogs to cats to rabbits to rats! I've helped take care of puppies before and my dog as of now is reaching her elder years. I am capable of whatever you throw at me for sure! right now i am looking for employment so my schedule is completely open for you! whether you need me in the morning or night, weekday or weekend, i am available! I am available to come to your house and watch your babies! My house has 3 cats so I don't think it's best to bring babies over here but tell me where I need to be and I'll be there!

“I can't even begin to count how many times I've relied on Alex's services for my dog, Bella. Not only does Bella always come back looking incredibly happy, but she also displays an unmatched level of excitement every time she catches sight of Alex stepping out of his car on our street. It's as if she knows she's about to embark on an extraordinary adventure with him!”

“Brennan did great with our dogs Buckley and Spider-Man! She picked them up and took them both on a great walk, was very flexible working with us and our schedule. We will definitely be using her again in the future.”

“Lara is great - she handles my large dog with ease - he can be leash reactive and that requires expertise. And she is consistent and timely and reliable. What else could you ask for?”

About: I am a volunteer dog walker at a local shelter so I have lots of experience with walking and handling all sorts of dogs. I have a 14 year old Husky mix and 6 year old Alaskan Husky. The older guy has slowed down and needs some more tender loving care these days, so I definitely have some special needs/senior experience. The 6 year old girl is very active and gets around 4 miles of walks each day. Seeing the joy on their faces when asked if they want to go for a walk melts my heart. I don't have cats, but I TNR'd four feral cats in the neighborhood and feed and interact with them every morning. In the past, I've also cared for friends' cats when they went out of town - feeding, cleaning litter box, etc. I have a remote sales job which allows me to be very flexible. I volunteer every Friday morning from 8AM-11AM which is the only time I'm not available on a weekly basis. When walking my own dogs (and the shelter dogs for that matter), I'm very cognizant of broken glass on the sidewalks, discarded food and trash, and any other obstacles that tend to come up in the city. I know every dog is different and make sure to follow directions given when walking your pup.

About: I've had/taken care of dogs my whole life. My husband and I love dogs and have a big yard for them to run around in. We often dogsit for family and friends when they are out of town. We lost our fur baby a couple months ago due to old age and frankly we miss him and the energy he brought to our house. Your furbaby (or babies) would have a whole house to themselves and would have the full attention of a loving couple. We live in a great neighborhood for walks and have several parks nearby. Both my husband and I work full time jobs out of the house, but are never gone more than 8 hours at a time. Our routine with our recent furbaby would be walks and breakfast in the morning before work (around 8ish), a walk/play outside after work (around 4ish) and then a bathroom break outside before bed. On weekends we have more time to spend with your dog(s) We understand that every dog is special and has special needs! We are open to all care routines and any oddities your dog may have (we used to have to hide our trash can from our dog before leaving the house 😅). As long as you provide instructions, we feel confident managing any schedules, medical care, oddities, or routines. Your fur baby will be in a loving household that just misses having dogs around all the time.

She spends quality time making sure they are comfortable and ready for their nap/ bedtime when she leaves. I never worry about our babies (dogs) when Megan is watching them. Missouri Botanical Garden dog parents share their Rover experiences
Caroline does an amazing job with my dog, who is very sweet but also known to be strong, willful, and hyper. Couldn’t be happier

Melanie is great with my two pups! Very thorough and sends great updates/photos to let me know they’re happy 😊

I was quite pleased with Morgan. You can tell she is quite experienced. My dog is a very shy rescue dog, and she was really able to get him to warm up to her. I would definitely recommend Morgan and use her again!

Autumn has been amazing! As a first time Rover user, I was nervous about having a stranger walk my sweet girl, but Autumn quickly put my fears to rest. She did a meet & great first, and my dog loved her! I’ve since used her multiple times, and she is always kind, reliable, and communicative. Couldn’t recommend her more!

I can not say enough great things about Jenna! She’s very nice, reliable, great with my dog and cat. While walking she gives him enough time to do his business, and comes to walk him about the same time.

Austin was great! He was able to handle our giant puppies (105 and 95lbs) and they always come back happy and tired

Sarah is amazing! Very responsive and snuck me in at the very last minute the next day for a walk. She also is very adaptable, using the commands I use with my dog on her walks to reinforce them!

Kate took such good care of Tulip! She was patient and kept with our training “program,” teaching us things along the way! Kate is fantastic and I highly recommend her!!!

Eric is amazing! So thorough and took amazing care of my dogs. We used him consistently during our time in Saint Louis and would use him again readily!

Sarah is wonderful. My puppy, Remy, loves her. She did a great job and we look forward to working with her again.

Sydney was fantastic with Scooby! She was instantly bonded with him. He came back super happy and calm after a long walk. Highly recommend her if you’re looking for someone trustworthy and friendly to care for your dog. Would definitely book again!
