“Tamara truly is such a pleasure to work with! I’ve used her for both walks and housesitting for my spoiled eight-year-old girl and each time is truly worth it. She always leaves everything so clean and tidy, sends great updates and is so flexible with my schedule. I always feel at ease, when Tamara’s taking care of of my furry angel.”

About: I’ve cared for pets my whole life — dogs of all ages, guinea pigs, fish, and more. I truly enjoy giving animals love, attention, and fun! With no evening classes this semester, I have plenty of flexibility in the mornings. Walking dogs fits perfectly into my routine, and I enjoy starting the day active and outdoors. I give dogs freedom to sniff, stroll, and play at their pace—always sticking to their routine and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved.

About: I am a volunteer dog walker at a local shelter so I have lots of experience with walking and handling all sorts of dogs. I have a 14 year old Husky mix and 6 year old Alaskan Husky. The older guy has slowed down and needs some more tender loving care these days, so I definitely have some special needs/senior experience. The 6 year old girl is very active and gets around 4 miles of walks each day. Seeing the joy on their faces when asked if they want to go for a walk melts my heart. I don't have cats, but I TNR'd four feral cats in the neighborhood and feed and interact with them every morning. In the past, I've also cared for friends' cats when they went out of town - feeding, cleaning litter box, etc. I have a remote sales job which allows me to be very flexible. I volunteer every Friday morning from 8AM-11AM which is the only time I'm not available on a weekly basis. When walking my own dogs (and the shelter dogs for that matter), I'm very cognizant of broken glass on the sidewalks, discarded food and trash, and any other obstacles that tend to come up in the city. I know every dog is different and make sure to follow directions given when walking your pup.

“10/10 stars. We love having Jamie over for our dog. We couldn’t give a better rating. From the beginning he made it clear that our dogs safety and comfort was his main priority. We are glad we have him for Adele. Thanks Jamie.”

“Brennan does a wonderful job walking Peppa. She is very reliable and super flexible. I appreciate Brennan’s willingness to work with my schedule and our dog is always glad to see her. Brennan’s a keeper!”

About: I've had my own pets since 1991. I had a rabbit and dog in college and have learned over the decades how to best care for our friends. I've just retired from a busy career, so I know how important it is to find someone to care for your animals when you're away; even if it's just the gym or happy hour after work. I've fostered for several area rescues and know folks have a different idea of appropriate care. I only use fear free methods, because our animals need to know they can trust us. I've had young high energy dogs who need play and long walks and I've cared for my dogs in their last years when they needed additional care or special medical needs including pills, dressings, eye drops and carrying older dogs who aren't as mobile anymore. I would love to get to know your pets and help you give them the best life. I'm currently retired and searching for part time employment. I don't mind early or late night visits since our dogs don't have a 9 to 5 schedule. I do have an active social and volunteering schedule but it's flexible enough to accommodate your needs. I have cared for many dogs who need to be crated or who are door dashers and escape artists. I have a calm energy that helps put pets at ease. I'm a fan of high value treats to make the crate a special place. My personal dogs are crate trained but I know that's not for everyone.

“Jessica is amazing! Maggie absolutely loves her. She is so sweet and communicative and knows how to handle my anxious dog. She’s also very flexible and takes the best pictures to send me. We feel very lucky to have found Jessica!!”

About: I've had/taken care of dogs my whole life. My husband and I love dogs and have a big yard for them to run around in. We often dogsit for family and friends when they are out of town. We lost our fur baby a couple months ago due to old age and frankly we miss him and the energy he brought to our house. Your furbaby (or babies) would have a whole house to themselves and would have the full attention of a loving couple. We live in a great neighborhood for walks and have several parks nearby. Both my husband and I work full time jobs out of the house, but are never gone more than 8 hours at a time. Our routine with our recent furbaby would be walks and breakfast in the morning before work (around 8ish), a walk/play outside after work (around 4ish) and then a bathroom break outside before bed. On weekends we have more time to spend with your dog(s) We understand that every dog is special and has special needs! We are open to all care routines and any oddities your dog may have (we used to have to hide our trash can from our dog before leaving the house 😅). As long as you provide instructions, we feel confident managing any schedules, medical care, oddities, or routines. Your fur baby will be in a loving household that just misses having dogs around all the time.

“I was selfishly tempted not to share too much on here, but I am just overwhelmed with appreciation and. Nancy is the perfect fit for me and my girl. I had a fair amount of anxiety around my new pup, and making sure she had what she needed from myself, and someone who would help me on the days where I work long shifts. Nancy is calming, kind, patient and loving to my my pup, and sends me informative report cards with each visit. I could not find enough words, or stars, to show how highly I think of Nancy and her talents. Thank you for taking such good care of my Birdie, we love you! ♥️”

Missouri Botanical Garden dog parents share their Rover experiences
Jamie is fantastic. I have a Dalmatian who does not like strangers and he came for a meet and greet and was really patient and knew exactly how to handle and react to her behavior. They were best pals in no time. I use him for 5x a week walks and he always sends pictures and notes about their trip. Very responsive and easy to work with. I highly recommend.
