“Samantha was amazing with Nala! She watched her for us this weekend and kept me updated the entire time, which gave me so much peace of mind. I really appreciated the updates and knowing Nala was being well taken care of. We will definitely be booking with Samantha again soon! ❤️🐾”

“So happy we did it! Was very nervous to leave our dogs as we haven’t ever left our dogs with anyone but family before. Doyle was so responsive to messages and gave us a couple pictures at first to calm our nerves. The rest of the trip they let us enjoy it and we figured no news was good news! We had to get back late the last day but they said it was no problem! Very happy! Easy and it seems like our dogs really enjoyed themselves! Will use them again if we need!”

“Ashlee was great! Our sweet Raven warmed right up to her and her family, and was treated like one of their own fur babies. Ashlee was wonderful when our trip got extended by almost a full day, and kept us updated with pictures and videos. Would love to let Raven stay again in the future!”

“We had a wonderful experience with our dog sitter! She was attentive, caring, and sent regular updates and pictures, giving us peace of mind while we were away. Our pup felt right at home with her, and we couldn’t be happier with the care provided. Highly recommend if you’re looking for someone reliable and compassionate - just please don’t book her on dates that we need her 😂”

About: We had our first family dog 10 years ago, and we had 5 more after that. When I moved out, I got my own wienee in 2025. I want my baby to socialize more with other doggies so I thought pet-sitting might help with that. He's such an energetic but shy puppy so it would be nice to see him play with dogs of his size. I mostly work day shift. I get home around 2PM so I am free after. That's also when I would usually take out my own dog, so if I pet-sit, I can take them together so they can run and play in the grass. I currently live with my boyfriend but he will be out at work on the times I'm available and I will take full responsibility on the dogs that I pet-sit. Food, play, and cuddles... LOTS OF CUDDLES. I am not trained to perform medication administration or CPR but I will do whatever it takes to save them when something unfortunate happens. I will treat all dogs I pet-sit as my own... I will love them with all my heart <3
“Super friendly, beautiful home on top of it all has frenchies. So very knowledgeable about this type of breed. Next vacation I will be using her. Was updated everyday about my Berkie and didn’t have to worry about my fur baby, thank you so much”

“Kristen was amazing! She was so kind, sent us tons of photos and updates, and Bear had the best time with Zoe. We were gone for 14 days, and I felt completely at ease knowing Bear was happy and so well cared for.”

“Ryne is fantastic! My two boys knew exactly where we were when we pulled up for drop off, and I know they are in good hands with each stay. Ryne will definitely be our first call for boarding moving forward!”

“Michelle was amazing! Our Rye is a special girl with big feelings about the world around her so Michelle’s calm demeanor and perfect home setup was just what we needed for Rye to have the best away from home sitting experience. Michelle was attentive to Rye’s dietary needs, arthritis impacts to mobility and overall comfort, and also responded so quickly to all my helicopter dog mama texts asking how she was doing. She also sent regular updates and sent me so many pictures. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter you want to feel confident is going to take the best care of your pup.”

“Maria was AMAZING. She was super flexible and accommodating for our corgi and golden retriever. She sent photos and updates every day, and just loved them as her own. We felt so relieved and happy to leave them in her care. 100/10 recommend!”

“Katarina was awesome with Prince! I know he felt safe and at home. He definitely enjoyed his stay, she sent updates and pictures, and it was really helpful for her to puppy sit Prince. Would definitely recommend her and take Prince to her if needed again!”

“This is the 2nd time we have had Jeffrey watch Maggie in the last few weeks. When we got to his house to drop her off she immediately ran to his front door to get in. We are thrilled the way he takes care of our dog!”

“Marnela did amazing watching Ace. I ended up needing to extend Ace’s stay due to a power outage and she was extremely flexible and understanding. She provided tons of updates and photos, throughout the stay. Ace is normally an anxious dog, but it looks like he was able to enjoy his stay. 10/10, I would recommend Marnela!”

About: I am a pet momma who loves animals and help families out when needed as I know how hard it is to find good care for their furbabies while away. I am currently off summers so free time is easy but when school starts again I will fit the pet care in after work or weekends. I make things work. I love animals and take very good care of them. I treat them like they are my own pets. Whatever needs they need i will care for them.
“She kept in touch ands was so loving to my Kylo. She was very accommodating and attentive. When my plans changed she was flexible and able to make it so I could take Kylo to her earlier. Def would recommend!”

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
96% of sitters in Minden can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Minden.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
