Theo S.

“We brought our 13 year old mutt to Theo for an overnight. From start to finish Theo was helpful, professional, and generous about sharing her extensive knowledge Unfortunately, our dog is suffering from "sundowner" doggy dementia which was on full display the night she spent with Theo. Not only did Theo manage our dog's anxiety during what must have felt like a long night, she also did a behavior assessment and provided us with a written summary! We would not hesitate to use Theo's services again and highly recommend her to anyone reading this review. M&J, Amherst, MA”

About: I love all animals and have been taking care of pets for many local families, as well as providing foster care for a local dog rescue. I have over 10 years of experience in caring for cats and dogs of any ages. We have a house, fenced in yard and two dogs of our own. We always have room for another dog to come visit or stay with us for a few days. Our dogs love meeting new friends! We always have an adult present at home, so our guests are able to come in and out of the house as they please. Fenced in yard provides safety and plenty of space to run around. Whether in my home or yours, your pets will be loved and well-cared for. I will treat them as my own, providing lots of attention, love, and play time.

Delani O.

Sarissa M.

“My dog Huckleberry had a great stay with Sarissa. I appreciated knowing that he had plenty of room to romp and play in Sarissa's beautiful fenced-in yard. I received pictures of Huck during his stay and loved knowing that he was being taken for hikes and given plenty of snuggles.”

Janice A.

“Janice was the best sitter for our dogs! She sent regular updates with many photos too- which kept us less worried and homesick. I highly recommend booking her ? added bonus was her children who played with our pups and gave them all the more love!”

Trishul M.

“Trishul is a grade-A, rock-star host for a dog. First of all, he excels in responsiveness. He gets back to you right away. After my first contact with him, I asked to come over and see the space that my puppy would be in. Trishul immediately arranged a time for me to come visit and walk around the apartment. I met his roommate, who also loves dogs. Trishul is also so enthusiastic about caring for your dog, it gives great confidence that he will be attentive and nurturing while your puppy is with him. My puppy had been sick earlier in the week, and Trishul took extra care to talk about my puppy's needs. It is so comforting to know that when my dog is with him, Trishul will provide great care with lots of play time. I couldn't possibly ask for more.”

Lynne S.
“Lynne has been taking care of my 2 labradoodles since they were puppies (about 5 years). Lynne is absolutely fantastic- so caring and kind, extremely dependable, and my dogs get SO excited to see her. Lynne comes to walk my dogs weekly and also does overnite care for them. She is easy to communicate with and very responsive. I recommend her to everyone I know!”

About: I worked at an animal shelter in my hometown for two years, where I had experience working with dogs and cats. I helped in keeping their areas clean, playing with them, feeding, teaching, etc. I have experience with animals with behavioral problems and have worked closely with several rescued pets and helped them adapt to a home environment. I have also taken classes on pet care and how to understand animal behavior. Additionally, I fostered three small kittens last year with fleas and other medical problems and cared for them for over a month. I have experience with caring, cleaning, and quick to learn any medical treatments needed for young kittens and puppies. I am currently a full-time student at UMass Amherst, but I have a lot of free time. I have classes in the morning on Wednesday until 4pm and until 2pm on Friday. On TuesThurs I am available anytime after 4:30pm, and on weekends I have the entire day and night free. I grew up raising and taking care of dogs. I have experience with feeding, alternative diets, bathing and cleaning, some training, and am more than happy to learn anything else needed. I would take my dogs out for walks daily as well as practice tricks and training with them. I give my pets my full attention and love.

She treats them with lots of love and care, and makes sure they are always comfortable and safe.”

Adaylia S.

“Adaylia took great care of our girl! She sent pics and updates and Sadie looked very comfortable in Adaylia’s house! Adaylia’s dogs are sweet and mellow and Sadie had a great time with them. Highly recommend!”

Victor R.

“Very pleased, Otto had a great stay with Victor and Megan. Good communication, updates and photos. Our senior dog came home like his usual self, which tells me he was made comfortable and was well cared for during his stay. We will definitely book with them again.”

Gianna S.
“Gianna has had a passion and instinctual care for animals since she was a child. She had dreams of becoming a veterinarian and now has dedicated her college career towards educating herself in animal science, in preparation to learn more about and take of animals. She has experience with her own dog, along with the time she spent working at veterinarian's office only a couple of months ago. There is no one more better fit for this dog sitting and walking job than Gianna!”

About: At home, I have two 3-year old 80-lb Plott Hound mixes that are super energetic! We got the twins when they were 10 weeks old, so I was able to get experience caring for puppies that are not yet house trained. My 14-year old lab-mix recently crossed the rainbow bridge, and during his last 5 years, I was able to care for him as a senior. I have 1 cat that is over 14 years old, and she is and always has been very timid. However, I was able to foster 3 kittens for a couple of weeks, this allowed me to gain hands-on experience with playful kittens! I have stayed overnight at my family and friend’s houses to care for their animals in the past and as a college student at UMass, I love to spend my free time with animals. During December and early January, I will be free 24/7 to give care to your pet or drop in whenever needed! I will be completing an online class that can be taken from anywhere at anytime, allowing for your pet to be my number one priority. In the scenario where I will be boarding your pet at my house, we will stay at my Amherst house, where there are no other pets. I can drive the pets in my car to and from Amherst. There are many walking trails near my house in both Marlboro and Amherst. I am also willing to stay at your house if that is where your pet feels most comfortable. I have stayed overnight to care for animals in the past for my sister and aunts. If there is a yard and we can play outside, I am willing to spend the majority of my day tiring them out with fetch. I will also walk the dog around the neighborhood a couple of times throughout the day.

About: I’ve had cats and a horse while growing up. I recently adopted my first dog in August 2021, she is a young red nose pitty and I have learned so much! I love being a dog mom and would love to help you take care of your fur baby too. I have most mornings, some evenings, and weekends available. I would love to take your dog to the dog park, walks and short hikes in the area. I take dogs out first thing in the morning b/w 6-7am and then to the dog park later on with walks through out the day.

Jodi M.

“It is difficult to truly express how wonderful of an experience, boarding our senior pup with Jodie and Justine truly was. I’ve been with my pup for almost 15 years and she recently has showed some signs of being an older dog right as we had planned a short getaway. We originally planned to cancel but had thought maybe we’d check rover to see if there we’re any options. Sure enough, we came across Jodie and her recent experience with her own pooch and it felt like it was somewhat meant to be. Still somewhat nervous that it may be too good to be true, we arrived at their house. We got out of the car and almost instantly the door swung open and we were greeted with such a warm, inviting welcome. We were invited in, Jodie took the time to go over all the details while also being a lovely host. Over the course of the next few days we were given incredible, sincere, funny, and reassuring updates along with photos and videos. This was our best rover experience to date and we would be so lucky to have Jodie and Justine watch Clementine again. Or just hang out with them. They were just wonderful. Truly.”

Brielle R.
“Brielle is very sweet and caring. My 7 year old Malshi loves going on walks and playing with Brielle. She gets so excited everytime she knows Brielle is coming to walk her! Very responsible and respectful young lady.”

Maryah C.

“Maryah was awesome. Even when our plans changed because of hurricane Lee she was accommodating. Great country location for the dogs. I would highly recommend her and have no reservations using her again in the future.”
