About: I have worked in a mix of animal care environments including rescues, multiple dog daycare/boarding facilities, grooming, and volunteering at pet shelters. I understand how important exercise can be for all fur babies. I believe a positive and vibrant environment benefits all pets. All animals need attention and I am willing to give them 100% and nothing less than satisfactory. I carry portable bowls, water bottles, snacks, and clean up bags on hand at all times. Expect photo updates of your precious fur babies during walks and boardings. During my time, I learned about appropriately introducing dogs, how to care and attend to every dogs need, and how to interpret their behavior. Your family member will not go without walks, play time, food, water, snacks, kisses, cuddles, and of course loads of love.
“Alysha was fantastic!! She did absolutely everything we asked and then some to take care of our zoo while we were out of town. We would 100% recommend her to anyone needing care for their pets!”

“Megan was amazing. She truly went above and beyond for my sweet boy who is my world. Would absolutely recommend for all pets and will definitely be reaching out again on my next journey. Thank you!”

About: Growing up on a farm, I’ve dealt with all kinds of pets. Specifically with dogs, I’ve raised a litter of puppies, trained a bird hunting dog, and trained three dogs for my parents. My hobbies typically involve dogs, and I’ve found myself to be very patient with all dog personality types. I’m great with puppies, senior dogs, and adult dogs. I currently attend Vet School at KSU. My school schedule is typically the same throughout the weekdays, but the hours allow me to spend a lot of time with your pets in the mornings and evenings. I sometimes get done in the early afternoons as well! I’m available everyday of the week in the later part of the days, and most weekends! I would love to be able to share my great amount of down time with your furry friends! I like to follow the instructions of the client when asked to care for their pet. If pets are allowed to roam free while alone, I always ensure there are no potential hazards for them to get into, and any rooms that are off limits have doors closed. Personally, I offer multiple opportunities to go outside for bathroom breaks and to play throughout the day. I use excitement and calmness when interacting with the pet to keep them engaged. When the pet makes it clear they want attention or to play, I give it to them and do not pick a phone/computer over them. The dogs I grew up with, were on a strict time feeding schedule, so I understand the importance of feeding other pets on their schedule as well.

“Ashley was wonderful and went above and beyond for our lab, Baron. She came by to meet us before the visits. It is obvious that she cares for animals and Baron took to her right away. Ashley played with Baron in the backyard and send photos showing us what a good time he was having. We will definitely contact her again if we have another trip where Baron can’t come.”

“Megan helped us out with our Golden Retriever puppy when we were in a jam on short notice. Her gentle personality was an immediate comfort to me. We got great updates each day of her drop in from the Rover app. Megan was very prompt with responding to any question or news we had. We appreciate her professionalism and kindness. Will definitely ask for her again!”

“I'm a nurse and work 12 hour days. When my wife left I hadn't planned ahead and knew as soon as I left our Rooi wasn't ready for extended times alone. I was able to set up a dog walk with Sarah the same day. I appreciated being kept in touch with and knowing how Rooi is doing. Sarah is reliable, friendly and I'm sure Rooi had a blast.”

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Milford stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Milford. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 90% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
