“Lori was so fantastic to have in my home and she did an amazing job with my puppy! It was incredible to get some time to go to an appointment and run errands while knowing my puppy was safe and having a good time. Lori sent updates and photos so I wouldn't be worried. I highly recommend her and will definitely be using her again in the future!”

“Kristen is INCREDIBLE. Our dogs absolutely adored her and they were very well taken care of. Sally has medical needs and received her medications, special meals, and all instructions were followed. She also went above and beyond to clean up Sally's spots where she got sick during her visit. Cassie is more cautious of new sitters until she warms up to them, but she loved Kristen immediately without hesitation. Kristen also sent us LOTS of photos and communication, keeping us up to current events as things progressed with Sally. We couldn't be happier with her service and will definitely be using her services again!”

“Megan was absolutely wonderful. She stayed with our three dogs for a long weekend and we felt completely at ease the entire time. She sent consistent updates and photos, took them on walks, picked up after them, and left our home spotless — you truly wouldn’t even know she was here. Our dogs were happy and relaxed when we returned, which says everything. She is reliable, communicative, and genuinely cares about the animals she watches. We’re so grateful to have found her and already have her booked again. Highly recommend!”

“Cassie was great! I was afraid my dogs might be a little standoffish because two of them take a while to warm up to people, but by the end of her night here, they all seem to be best buddies! She took great care of them and sent me many great pictures, which I really appreciate. She also sent me updates on how they were doing. She even took them outside and had play time with them. I will definitely recommend her to anyone and will book her again in a heartbeat.”

“Kyle took outstanding care of Archie and Rhea (and kept a watchful eye on our home) while we were on vacation. He asked thoughtful questions and sent regular updates and photos, which gave us great peace of mind. When we returned, both pets were happy, healthy, and clearly well-adjusted. Archie and Rhea absolutely adore Kyle—I wouldn’t hesitate to book him again for future trips.”

“We have two rescues that have had rough pasts. Marissa was able to come to our home for a weekend stay with very little experience with them. We received check ins & they seemed content when we arrived home. We also came home to a clean house!”

“Amanda was great with our three Husky’s. They are all blowing their coats and she did a great job keeping up with the flying fur. Our dogs were so calm and relaxed when we got home, she did a great job of keeping me updated and I didn’t have to worry about whether or not they were well cared for during our vacation!”

“Great communication! ReAna took excellent care of my cat and my place and sent pictures each visit. I really appreciate the check-ins. Would definitely recommend ReAna to anyone as a cat sitter!”

About: I’ve loved pets all my life and very good with cats and dogs. I enjoy caring for all types of animals and treat them as if they are my own. I have my own dog and cat and I take a lot of time watching them and taking care of their needs. I love it. With this experience I know I will be able to make pets feel safe.
“Sauddi was absolutely amazing! It took no time at all for my 2 dogs to warm up to her. She is loving, kind and knows how to provide an exciting time for the dogs. She provided pictures and updates daily. She took excellent care of the house. We will certainly use her again. Highly recommend Sauddi.”

“10/10 stars! I always get nervous leaving town and having people watch my pets; Olivia put my mind at ease and was so amazing! I did not stress at all while she watched them, i loved getting pictures of my dog and cats while I was away. I will absolutely be having her watch my fur babies again! My dog loved her from the second she walked in my door, and my cats did great with her as well. I am so pleased! Thank you so much Olivia!”

“Ava was SO AMAZING. She is super responsive and really knows how to take care of dogs. She stayed in our apt for one week and took care of our two dogs. They LOVED her and were having SO much fun playing and going on walks with her. She sent us daily updates, pictures, and videos which really helped with my anxiety as a first time user of rover. About: It seems as if I've always had a cat or dog or both since I was in grade school. At this time I have many kitties and one dog. Some of my kitties are foster kitties. Some I can pet and others I enjoy from a distance. I have 1 dog named Frannie. She is possibly a Rottweiler shepherd mix. In the past I grew up with a standard poodle. I have had a shepherd mix, another Rottweiler mix and a pit mix. I have seen all my dogs and cats thru to the rainbow bridge. I have fostered a litter of labrador puppies. That was fun! I currently help my mom with her pug mix named Chloe. I am currently working part time at a pre-school. I have Mondays, weekends, holidays and the summers off. I work until noon Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays until 3pm I would need to make sure your pets are cared for before I go to work @7:15am. I have a neighbor who helps me let my dog out while I'm at work, so I would be free after work to check on your animal(s). I would then need to come back to my house and take care of my animals and then go back to check on yours. I could do that as often as needed and then longer thru the night. I anticipate every situation to be different so depending on the need. I would be able to keep kitties in my spare bedroom. I have a large screen door to put in front of the bedroom door to keep them separate from my animals if needed. I am flexible to what the needs may be

“It’s always daunting having to find someone take care of your fur babies. I was so happy to have had Lilly be so helpful in keeping our girls safe, loved and well taken care of while we were away. Will definitely be using her to help us out again. Thanks Lilly! ??”

“Nate is hands down the BEST dog sitter I’ve ever had! 5 stars all around with communication, respectfulness, professionalism, compassion, friendliness. I would recommend him to anyone, and I will be using him from now on to dog sit! He put my mind at ease while away by sending frequent updates with pictures and I never once was anxious about being away from my fur babies. I can’t thank you enough for devoting your time and giving the best care to my babies!”

Natalie did an amazing job with my girl Tika! She was available on short notice and even brought in several packages I was unaware of. She was very communicative plus sent lots of pictures. Natalie even gave me info about the area during the meet and greet since I had just move to the area a few days prior. Would highly recommend!

I booked 2 drop-in visits for Jessica to let my dog out on Oct.1st.She was the BEST..very understanding and patient with my dog ,who had never been with a sitter before and just gave her all kinds of grief..and she sailed right through it like a professional..!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Middlebranch walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Middlebranch maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Middlebranch choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
