“Jessica was amazing! She walked my two dogs, a high strung chihuahua and elderly dog (14 y.o.), for 30min for 4 days. She reached out and asked if I wanted her to meet the dogs before walking them which was great. The chihuahua tends to bark his head off at strangers, and I wasn't sure how he'd react (he ended up running away from her the first day for 15min, sorry Jessica). The older dog had diarrhea throughout the house one day, and cleaning up after something like that isn't really what I consider her job. I told her she didn't need to worry about it, and I'd deal with it when I got back. However, she ended up cleaning up as much as she could anyways (that's going to be a big tip). Besides my dogs being a huge pain. She always responded quickly and sent a lot of pictures from the walks.”

About: I have house/dog sat for 7+ years now around my old neighborhood. I have cared for pets (cats and dogs) of many ages and breeds. I am experienced with giving your fur babies the medications that they may need and the amount of exercise they require. I am experienced with caring for young and old dogs and will personalize care however you prefer. My pup requires a long walk every day so I am used to walking long distances if needed; it is completely up to you to decide! I have a SUPER friendly boxer. He plays very well with other dogs, big and small. He loves all dogs, humans, cats, you name it. I also currently foster for a Belgian Malinois rescue and have a ~2yo mal foster. She is also friendly and does well with dogs but prefers neutrality. If your dog isn’t friendly or prefers alone time, that is also fine! I am easily able to separate dogs so that they can have a neutral environment. I work from home currently, so I am available to take the pups out whenever they need. My dogs usually get a long walk (1-4 miles) and any dogs I watch are welcome to join! If they cannot handle a longer walk they can get a shorter walk before or after my dog’s walk. I leave for about an hour a day to work out or run errands. At most I’m gone 2 hours from my house. I live in a neighborhood and have a semi large yard. My yard is not fenced but I have long lines (leashes) that I will take your dog out on to run and get exercise if they do not prefer walks. They will always be supervised and on-leash outside to prevent any accidents!

About: Hi! I’m home for the summer and excited to spend time doing something I love, caring for animals. I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, and I recently lost my own, which reminded me just how much animals mean to me. While I don’t have time for a full-time pet right now, I still stay involved by volunteering every week at a local animal shelter and helping care for the cat I live with at school. Whether it’s dogs, cats, or anything in between, I’ll treat your pet with the same love and care I gave my own. Since I’m not working right now, I have plenty of time to give your pet the attention and care they deserve. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or overnight stays, I’m happy to help however I can! In your home, I follow your pet’s routine closely, feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions, so they stay comfortable and happy while you’re away. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
