I have an extra few hours in my day, which allows me to have time to care for others when needed because I know how difficult it is to find a sitter while going away I would care for them just as I do my own with love respect and I would follow their routine and what they do for their pet so they feel comfortable while they are gone

About: Hi! I’m Destiny! 🪶🌙🌀☀️ I’ve always been one of those people who gets way too excited when I see a dog on the street and immediately wants to say hello. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I genuinely love getting to know their different personalities. I’m a big adventurer and love being outside, so having a dog as a little adventure buddy is honestly one of my favorite things! While traveling through Colorado and Oregon, I’ve taken dogs on hikes, explored trails, gone on long walks, and spent plenty of time outside letting them sniff, explore, and just be dogs. I’m just as happy having a cozy day with a pup who prefers cuddles and naps, too! My love for animals has also taken me all over the place. I’ve traveled to the Dominican Republic where I had the opportunity to care for animals, and I volunteered at a marine school that worked with turtle rescue and conservation. I’ve also volunteered at the National Aquarium in Baltimore, where I had the incredible experience of being around marine life, including dolphins. Those experiences really deepened my appreciation for animals and taught me how important patience, attentiveness, and understanding their individual needs are. I’m someone who will genuinely get excited about your pet. I want to know their favorite toy, their weird little habits, what makes them nervous, what gets their tail wagging, and exactly how they like their day to go. Whether your dog wants to hike a mountain, chase a ball for an hour, or curl up beside me, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at. I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own and make sure they get plenty of love, attention, exercise, and FUN while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet your furry family members! 🐶🐱🌿 So I'm pretty much flexible throughout the week. I do have a job that requires for me to be away from your pet for at least 4-8 hours. But, I would love any opportunity to love on your fur baby. To me, trust means knowing that someone will care for your pet with the same love, patience, and attention that you would. It means being dependable, communicating openly, following your pet’s routine, and paying attention to the little things that make them feel safe and comfortable. When you trust me with your pet, I want you to feel completely at ease knowing they’re happy, loved, and in good hands.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
