“Our dog Chewy was excited to meet Korah the very first time and every time she saw her. Korah is enthusiastic and energetic. She sent pictures & notes every day of how well Chewy did each day. Her notes were reassuring that Chewy was eating, drinking and happy playing with his new friends. It was a great experience for Chewy. We felt confident that Chewy was receiving great care. We will definitely have Korah care for Chewy the next time we are gone.”

“Michael did great with my two dogs. At our meet and greet, both dogs were instantly comfortable with Michael. Michael sent me pictures and updates each day of the boarding. I plan to use Michael again, and strongly recommend him to watch your dogs!”

About: Having had pets all my life, I really understand how special dogs and cats are. I promise to treat your furry family member with the same care, respect, and love that they would expect at home. I have a flexible schedule and would like to fill my free time. Although I plan to go back to school in January, I’ll still be available for pet sitting. I have a fenced yard where your pup can play freely, and a cozy, smoke-free home perfect for snuggles. Currently, I don't have any pets in my home, and I'm preparing my space to be comfortable, warm, and welcoming for stays.

About: I will put your pups needs first! I've done in home stays for a variety of pooches over the years and grew up looking after two mini dachshunds back home! I've volunteered at the animal shelter and worked on a farm as well. I think I was the only farm hand to try and pet the cows so you could say I'm a bit of an animal lover. Some of my favorite critter activities are exploring the city, sniffing lots of trees, finding sticks, meeting friends at the dog park and cuddling on the couch. I'm a patient person and am good at fufulling any special needs you and your pup may have. I also love taking walks/hikes almost as much as your dog does! I am currently working part time and would love to discuss what your critters need to hopefully create a plan that works well for everyone! I will respect your home and always keep it clean. I will responsibly handle keys/alarms or any special requests you may have during a stay
“Kim was very kind to accommodate a short notice visit. She even fit in a meet and greet right away which I really appreciated. She was super responsive and sent lots of updates. Drop off and pick up times were flexible and she was right on time. Our dog came home happy, I couldn't ask for a better experience.”

“Hadyn was beyond incredible. Our sweet dog who is normally full of anxiety had none with her. She was fantastic in sending photos and videos with her updates. I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again. A+++”

About: I have worked for roughly two years dog sitting for friends and family. Typically these have been in my own home - occasionally overnight. I have a fenced in back yard for my 3 dogs & 2 cats so I have experience with both :) I have complete availability currently, so my dog at home gets quite a lot of walks and park time. If possible, i also try to socialize him with people each day. Typically I take my dog to the dog park in the evening with a long walk in the morning. This works best for my dogs energy levels, but each dog is different. I am also trying to socialize my dog in public as he is a bit scared of humans so we try to hit some breweries here and there.
About: I have had a dog since I was 8 years old. I am well experienced in walking, feeding, bathing, etc. dogs. I have never met a dog I haven’t liked and am comfortable with dogs of all sizes. My dog is currently a senior dog so I am familiar with caring for older dogs. I am currently in graduate school so i have classes in the morning/afternoon but my evenings are very open to walk or care for your pets!! When caring in a clients home, I make sure to get clear instructions on how to efficiently care for their pet. I make sure I understand their schedule and follow it closely. I also make some time to let the pet get used to me before I do what I need to do to make sure they are comfortable.

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
96% of sitters in Meridean can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Meridean home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Meridean.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Meridean sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
