Pet care experience
I had a Labrador for 14 wonderful years, so I know how much love and care dogs need. For the past two years, I’ve cared for my sister-in-law’s German Shorthaired Pointer every other weekend. I also have plenty of experience with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. I love spending time outside with dogs—walking, running, and even taking camping trips outside Boston. Your dog will stay active, happy, and loved!

We live in the eastern part of the Netherlands (the Achterhoek). When we go on vacation, Zoë and Tjalling regularly take care of our Labrador (Skip). The Achterhoek is a great place for dogs, and when we return, Skip is always happily exhausted from the long walks through the forests and rural fields he makes with them. I would definitely recommend them!
Tjalling & Zoe were amazing dog sitters for our dog Koos, a very active shorthaired german pointer. They looked after him every other weekend and managed his energy levels beautifully. I live on the first floor, but I am happy to carry your dog upstairs if needed. My home is around 1,000 sq. ft., and it’s just the me and my husband—plenty of space for your dog to relax. I’ll stick to your schedule for meals and exercise to keep everything just right for them!

A typical day
I love playing games with dogs, especially throwing the frisbee for some fun fetch. After some playtime, there’s always time for cuddling and giving them lots of love. I also enjoy taking dogs on hikes or runs to keep them active and happy in the great outdoors!

Availability
I work remotely two days a week and always make sure I am home when sitting dogs. During the day, I’ll take your dog on at least one long walk (more than an hour) and as many shorter walks as required/desired. If it’s the weekend, I usually head to a nearby park for a longer hike to keep them happy and active!
