MissYvonne's SOCIALIZATION Vacation

~Body ~ Mind & Soul~ ~This is a HUGE responsibility and I take it very SERIOUSLY~ During the meet and greet, I focus first on the psychology of the visiting dog and how they may feel about spending time with a strange dog(s) or perhaps a pack. During the 1st initial interactions, all aspects of comfort for the visiting dog are taken into consideration, size, age, personality of the dog, previous exposure to other dogs and the level of natural comfort displayed around other dogs. I follow Cesar Millan's teachings and practice a calm assertive pack leadership. I have been a pet sitter for over 30 years. I am home 24/7 and I have full time help as well. My dogs are very well socialized. Each morning we go for an hour long walk and play time. In the afternoon a walk in different areas of Juno and Jupiter. I have a large, fenced in backyard, a pool, and a true desire to provide a quality experience so that it is actually a treat for the dog, as opposed to a situation where your dog is just being cared for while you are not able too. I DO REQUIRE A MEET & GREET prior to any dog staying with us. The purpose is dual in that the guest dog will feel a little more comfortable when initially "left w/ a stranger", as well as to showcase the environment. Even if my calendar shows booked, contact me. Perhaps there is a dog leaving that day or I may be able to accommodate, depending on the circumstances. I do charge for half days if you will be picking up after noon time, or if after 6:00p, a full day charge. Please contact me for a custom quote. No pick up's after 9:00p. ****~~Mandatory~~**** ~All dogs over 7 months of age must be on prescription Flea & Tic medication year round~ DID YOU KNOW...? The best shampoo you can use on your dog is baby shampoo or baby wash. It is inexpensive and will not wash all the protective oils out of your dogs coat. If you have a mostly inside dog, a bath once a month is sufficient. If your dog spends time outside each day and is out and about or spends time around other dogs on a regular basis they should be bathed every 10 to 14 days. This will help keep hair and dander to a minimum, as well as, help with allergies, hot spots, and overall health. My favorite part is that it is a bonding experience too! Have you ever noticed that dogs LOVE to be dried off? If you read this all the way to the end then I want to let you know that I am willing to work with you on the price if it is out of range for you. I do not participate in the competitive aspect of this site. I strive to make a difference in each dogs life by sharing my knowledge of physcology and through caring for them with a focus on individual and unique needs of each dog. I want to be sure my focus is on long term, happy, clients. I have been responsible for this type of task just about every week since I was 14 years old. I love doing this and have always kept my foot in the door on what I used to consider a hobby but now happily my main function in life. The dogs are never left unattended. They are not left outside or inside by themselves and there is always a human eye monitoring the situation at all times. I do have full time help if I need to step out.

Yvonne- watched my dog Wally for the day and night while we were away. We were nervous as we don’t often leave him much outside of our home, but he seemed was well taken care of and never left alone. He even slept in her bed for the night!

Yvonne watched my pup over the holiday for a week and was extremely responsive, sent daily updates, and was flexible with pick up times! She took great care of my senior dog that needs daily meds. My pup didn’t want to leave, she loved being around other dogs and spending time outside. Will definitely book again!

Yikes. Definitely never using this sitter again. I received a bizarre text message during my toy poodles stay. I was told I shouldn’t pick up my dog and that I give her too much attention. It was a diatribe about her being unhappy at home, because I pick her up. She wanted to come home and felt nervous around the dogs. The sitter had way too many at once. It was a bizarre experience and I regret that I didn’t contact a sitter who I had previously used. I might never use Rover again. This woman seems unstable and it’s a little scary to think I left my little dog with her.

Schedule

This is what I do. It fits in because I'm already working toward this goal each day just the same it just depends on how many soles are traveling with me that day.

0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
over 101 lbs
Yvonne can host up to 1 drop-in per day
The truth about the regular exercise routine, if there is one. It's super important not to "over do it" especially right off the bat because what that does is change the amount of exercise that will be comfortable for the remainder of the stay. The truth about aggression issues. i.e. food, children, other dogs. All of these things can be worked around if I don't have to find out about them through trail and error.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
