I work in the public sector and have a lot of flexibility with my schedule. I primarily work from home and have Festival Park literally behind my garden which is where I would provide routine walks in the morning, at lunch and the evening also. For more energetic dogs, they can accompany me to further away spots such as Kelvingrove Park or even for the occasional hike up north based on the dogs abilities and health which I would ask you to share with me. I’m within walking distance to Finnieston so if your dog is a confident and social fluffball, they can accompany me to some of the bars as well. I’m familiar with the dog friendly ones, having gone to these with my dog in the past.

Safety, trust & environment
Dogs tend to bond with me quickly and are glued to my side after a dedicated period of trust building and soothing them in a new environment, utilising dog communication methods and touch to help them settle. Again, I would speak to you about this before the drop-off day to make sure I understand their needs and preferences. My home is across two floors - the dog is allowed wherever I am - and I have a fenced garden. I’m in a neighbourhood full of dog lovers which is a bonus. I would not leave your dog alone in our house for several hours as I disagree with that approach entirely. I wouldn’t have accepted this for my dog and would not inflict the same on someone else’s cherished dog.

Information Yazmin R. would like to know about your pet
I have experience of raising an anxious and elderly dog and have trained in the same to ensure that I recognise the signals the dog is sending. This is very important to me as I hope to give the dog a soothing environment to settle into while their loved ones are away. They miss their primary human companions! I would work to ensure that they are as cared for and nurtured as possible until you are back to collect them.
A typical day
I focus on the worldview of dogs. So that’s walks where the time is taken to allow your dog to sniff the area and take their time. I would also ensure that you give me guidance on what your dog likes to play with and at what time do the day. I would ask that you bring your dogs favourite toys, their own bed and blankies and their favourite treats. Everything that keeps them happy and the scents familiar to help the dog to settle.

Pet care experience
A safe haven for anxious and older dogs. Easy to reach by the Exhibition Centre or Kinning Park Subway. We had our last dog, Tyler, right into his golden years. I know exactly what it’s like to have an anxious wee dog whom you’ve loved and nurtured for a lifetime and why it can be stressful finding a good dog sitter. Especially if you know your dog very well and if they have any aches and pains you’re concerned about. I’ve trained in a series of Canine Therapies including pain relief, canine anxiety and canine communication. I’m experienced in caring for energetic and elderly dogs in a way that I would have been comfortable with if it had been our wee dog in someone else’s home. I want you to feel assured that your dog is in good hands but mostly I want the dog to feel comfort in my home and to know that they’re safe. And that they’ll have fun!

Minnie had her first overnight stay with Yasmin, and she loved it. She came home so relaxed and well looked after, she wait to come back!

Minnie LOVED her time with Yasmin. When I collected her she was so chilled I don’t think she wanted to leave. Yasmin was excellent at communicating how Minnie was settling in and kept me updated through the day with pics. 10/10 would recommend to all, especially those who are nervous to take the plunge in Rover. Minnie can’t wait to come back 💛🐾

Yazmin did a wonderful job watching my dog, Huckleberry! He has separation anxiety and usually gets very stressed when I leave him, but Yazmin was able to handle his whining and calm him down. She also took him on a walk, even though he can be kind of loud when seeing other animals. She sent lots of updates and pictures, which I really enjoyed. She also insisted on having us over beforehand so he could explore her house while I told her more about his quirks. She’s very personable and a great sitter!

Violet had just come home from her overnight with Yaz..10/10 - sent updates and Violet had returned relaxed and happy..thanks so much! Highly recommend! (But not on the dates I need Yaz 😂)
