For the comfort and safety of everyone involved, I require a brief house visit prior to any house and pet sitting arrangement. This includes a meeting with you at home to go over your pet's routine and any household details, as well as a follow-up visit without you present to ensure your pet is comfortable with me in your absence. I find this helps ensure a smooth and stress-free experience for everyone involved.
A typical day
I enjoy caring for your pet as if they were my own. One of my strengths in animal care is enrichment and play. I will ask you for a list of items/toys that are approved during supervised and unsupervised play to ensure a safe enrichment experience.

Pet care experience
I started in the veterinary field at the age of 15 as a kennel technician and cross trained in the clinic as a veterinary assistant. I then went to school for animal/veterinary science and graduated with valuable skills and education. After school I went into zookeeping where i cared for a variety of taxa including but not limited to carnivores and hoofed animals. After leaving the field and changing careers, I became a foster home for Oh My Dog Rescue based in the Des Moines IA area.

William is a wonderful and very friendly pet sitter. He came to visit prior to the job and do a meet and greet. I was impressed with all his zoo background work and you can tell he loves animals. My cats were happy and he sent me a picture to update how they were doing. He followed instructions, and was prompt. I will be using his services again for sure. Highly recommend.
William has been great with our two cats. They always seem happy and content when we come home, and the house is in good shape, too. It's nice to receive the photos and updates while we are gone, as well. William will be a great sitter for your pets, as well.
