Dog Obsessed!
I am good at working with all sizes, ages and breeds of dogs. I have a large fully fenced back yard and live on a quiet street. For longer stays of 1-2 weeks I offer pick up within a 30-45 minute drive from Dalton (this includes Great Barrington, Stockbridge and Lenox). I love dogs and grew up with three mammoth Samoyeds and Malamutes as well as owning my own sweet cavalier Max until he passed. Looking forward to showering love on your four-legged family member: lots of cuddles, play, walks. I've dog sat quite a bit - from sweet older dogs to nervous little dogs to velcro Portuguese water dogs. :-) Whatever your dogs routine, I will follow your instructions to the letter to ensure as little disruption to your dogs routine as possible so they feel safe and happy until your return. I know how hard it can be on owners to leave a beloved member of the family behind and how hard it is on a dog to miss their owner. I have dog beds, treats and toys (if allowed). Western was great with my anxious dog! I did have a bit of difficulty contacting her before the booking to confirm details, but she sent updates while my dog was with her.
Western was our #1 dog sitter. For 13 years we had a beautiful King Charles Spaniel who had every ailment known to canine royalty; she needed to be given nine different pills/drops/subcutaneous injections on a daily basis. Western did an excellent job of taking care of her. Western was warm, affectionate, good-humored, responsible, and very willing to do everything we asked her to do. Our dog was always extremely happy to see Western. We never worried when we were away as we knew our dog was in good hands. We are feeling almost ready for a new pup in our house; when we have one, we will definitely be calling Western.
Western loves animals and they love her. When she comes into a room, the dogs and cats of the household always flock to her to have their bellies rubbed and to be near her. Western’s great personality - outgoing, warm, responsible and calm - is a perfect fit for Rover. She grew up around animals and k led how to keep them happy and safe. I highly recommend her as a pet sitter or dog walker.

Programa
I work from home so your dog will have plenty of companionship and attention from morning to evening. I usually walk dogs according to the schedule they are used to. In between, they can hang with me. IFeeding times will also coincide with your instructions. I'm an early riser so you are welcome to drop your dog off (with notice) as early as 7:30 am.

I have a large three bedroom home with an huge fenced back yard on a quiet street near trails. It's single floor so no stairs for older dogs to contend with.

I curate activities to fit the dog. Lots of cuddles and pets no matter what. Active dogs I'll play games and throw balls to make sure they get plenty of exercise and take them for long walks. Older dogs require patience and love. I often massage their hind quarters to provide relief. Nervous dogs get plenty of gentle care. I really follow the owners lead and try to match what the dog is used to so that they feel as little disruption to their normal routine as possible.
