Remote worker->24-7 cat/dog care!🐾
Pet care experience
⭐️Overview⭐️: Hey pet parents! I’m Walter, a NYC-based pet sitter with 7 years of experience and a big heart for all four-legged beasties🐈. Whether your pet is a bouncy ball of energy or a mellow cuddle bug, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I prioritize showing animals all the love and attention they deserve ❤️, maintaining a clean environment for the pet's sake (and your own) 🧹, and curating consistent and detailed communication to make sure you can enjoy your vacation worry-free 💬. ⭐️Availability & Care Strategy⭐️: As a remote worker, I can care for your pet as much as you or they could possibly want, provided I can work in your space. Otherwise I'm always around in the mornings, evenings, and weekends, outside of business hours. During this time I'll do all that I can to make sure you and your pets have a pleasant experience. In fact, here's a list of what I guarantee: • Daily communication of your pet's mood, feeding, walking, and medications, as applicable. • Pictures as frequently as desired, defaulting to daily unless you request otherwise. • An environment as clean or cleaner than when you left, and maintained throughout your absence. • Petting and playing to your fur baby's content. I also pride myself on flexibility: •No dog/cat's care needs are too specific, and no dog is too large or energetic. •Long term stays and last minute bookings are also no problem, provided I'm available. •Need plants watered? Mail brought in? Lights alternated? No sweat. ⭐️My background⭐️: I grew up with both dogs and cats growing up, so even before working with animals I was excited by them and accustomed to caring for them. I first started watching my neighbor's cat when I was a teenager in Washington, D.C. and was immediately hooked on how fun it can be to watch animals and support owners while they're out enjoying themselves. I then created my own mobile app for local pet care in high school, and took care of multiple repeating dog, cat, and even guinea pig clients over a 2-3 year span. I dropped the work in college to focus on my studies, but since graduating and moving up to the big apple my passion for providing quality pet care has been reignited, and I'm happy to offer my services again. ⭐️Conclusion⭐️: Still have any unanswered questions? Excited and ready to meet? Feel free to reach out, and let's give your pet the care they deserve!

Safety, trust & environment
The most important aspect of taking care of your pet and your home is following your directions - I'm happy to take care of whatever is needed. That being said, I prioritize devoted attention to your pet and their needs, cleanliness in all environments (no animal should live in a dirty environment!), and direct and consistent communication.

The following questions, if applicable to your situation, are so that I can provide your pet the best possible care, and will probably be answered in either our pre-booking call or your pet's profile: • What sort of playing/petting does your pet most enjoy? • Feeding schedule? Walking schedule? • If we'll interact with them, how does your pet get along with other species? • Any meds, allergies, disabilities, or other similar special considerations? • Do you have a preferred vet or emergency contact? • Any triggers or behavioral quirks I should know? Separation anxiety? • Are there any useful commands that your pet knows? • Do you have any rules for them around the house? • Do you have any rules for me around the house? Any requests (mail, plants, etc.)? • Are you okay with/have space for me working from your home?

Availability
I work remote here in NYC and spending time with animals through Rover is really a labor of love - therefore I'm happy and able to provide 24/7 care if your home has a space/wifi available for working, and otherwise am around outside of business hours in the mornings, evenings, and weekends. Feel free to reach out if you're not sure if your needs align, my schedule can be flexible and we may be able to find a suitable middle ground.
