Caring for pets in their own home means they can stick to their normal environment, scents, and routines, which helps reduce stress and keep them happy. When providing care in your home, I offer: 🐾 Familiar Routines — Keeping mealtimes, walks, and play sessions consistent with your pet’s normal schedule. 🛏️ Comfort in Their Own Space — Allowing your pet to sleep in their favorite spot or cuddle up with their usual blanket. 🦴 Play & Enrichment — Interactive play, enrichment activities, and plenty of attention tailored to your pet’s personality. 💊 Special Care — Administering medications or following specific care instructions for pets with medical or behavioral needs. 📸 Updates for Peace of Mind — Regular photos and updates so you know your pet is safe and happy while you’re away. She’s incredibly loved and well-managed, but she does take some time to warm up to new dogs — we call her our “nervous nelly.” Because of this: • I use slow, controlled introductions • I monitor all interactions carefully • I may keep pets separated until I’m confident they’re comfortable Your pet’s emotional well-being is just as important as their physical safety, and I’ll always make thoughtful, professional decisions based on what’s best for everyone involved. 💖

🌞 A Typical Day at Virginia’s Haven 🌞 Every day at Virginia’s Haven starts bright and early with wagging tails, happy paws, and the peaceful sounds of the farm. As the sun rises, I begin caring for a mix of animals — from feeding and checking on barn animals like goats, horses, or chickens, to walking dogs full of morning energy, and giving cuddles to cats enjoying their breakfast. Throughout the day, I’m on the move — traveling between pet sitting visits, dog walks, cat check-ins, and barn care appointments. I also offer pet taxi services, safely transporting pets to vet visits, grooming appointments, or back home from daycare. I work with all kinds of animals, including reactive or special-needs pets, making sure they feel safe, calm, and understood. Some days, I offer emotional support and gentle care for families going through euthanasia assistance, being there with compassion and love during difficult moments. No two days are ever the same, but every day is filled with heart. 💖 I’m available 7 days a week, rain or shine, all year long — because this isn’t just my job, it’s my passion. My goal is to make sure every animal feels loved, and every pet parent feels at peace knowing their babies are in good hands.
