Veronica can care for
Availability
What to expect: I work 4 days a week so if your dog is ok with me being away for work, then we can work around that for house sitting and care. I'll accept bookings close to work so I won't be too far away. I don't mind dogs sleeping in the same room/on the bed if they sleep well. Otherwise, I let pets sleep beside the bed or downstairs with their own bed/blankets or in their crate if they're trained that way. I'm introverted so my household is calm and quiet, and the area I live in is also quiet. Please note the prices here include all of rover's fees.

Pet care experience
Care includes: 1-3 walks per day, play, mug shots or videos (sent daily), plenty of cuddles and attention, feeding, showering, and treat spoilage (if allowed). Fussy pets are welcome! *** Please read fully before requesting!! *** I am working 4 days a week in another job close to home. My shifts are set in advance so I know what I'll be working and if/how I can work around that. I have a small car so I can travel anywhere within a reasonable distance from home and work. I don't have any pets of my own at the moment. When I'm off work I'm happy to take them on day trips to the peaks and bigger play parks. This means at the moment, I'd be more suited for drop ins, walks and house sits. Experience: I've taken care of pets of many different sizes, breeds and characters through Rover and outside of Rover, you're welcome to have a flick through my photos! I learned to take care of animals from a young age. A while back, I travelled around Southeast Asia and spent a lot of time helping out on farms to take care of cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, goats, fish and rabbits. One home had 19 rescue cats of all ages. During the end of my stay, we rescued 3 newborn kittens tied up in bin bags :( this is part of what motivates me to make sure animals are well looked after. I also helped to take care of 7 adult dogs (thai ridgebacks and labradors), which was quite intense as they squabbled a lot, but it was generally sorted with play time, separated feeding areas, and long walks. I have experience with looking after rescue dogs, dogs with anxious attachments and separation anxiety, and blind dogs. *** At the moment due to the fact that I have another job I may not help with anxious dogs *** I do not take dogs that aren't house trained or cause trouble with neighbours. I'm happy to take dogs with oral medications or eye drops. I have pet sitting course certifications in dog behaviour and health and safety from novabright.

Reviews

We have just returned from 5 days away leaving our senior dog and 2 rabbits under Veronica’s care. We received photos and videos every evening showing us how much fun the pets had been having during the day. They clearly received a lot of attention and playtime and house was exactly the way we left it on our return. Thank you so much Veronica, we will definitely be having you back to look after the pack again in the future!

We had a happy dog when we got home, as we always do when Veronica looks after him!

Veronica did a last minute house sit for our two dogs while we were on holiday. Our dogs can be quite hyper active and bounce off each other's energy a lot, which can be overwhelming for some people, but Veronica was amazing with them throughout the whole stay. She took them on lots of walks, gave them lots of fuss and play, and it's obvious they really enjoyed her company. We got videos and photos throughout the stay which eased my mind as we hadn't left them both together with anyone before, so we weren't sure how they'd behave or react. She made sure the house was super clean and tidy when we came back, which was great as we got back very late and it was one less thing to worry about doing! Overall an amazing experience and we'd be more than happy for her to look after our dogs again any time. ☺️

It is obvious how well Veronica cares for Lenny, he always has a good time when she looks after him
