Doggie retreat with grassy yard
🥰 I have been obsessed with animals from birth, and the first love of my life was a Dalmatian I had as a child, then a mutt (Collie and lab mix) I adopted as an adult. Since then I've always loved hosting my friends' pets when they go away. I have a big grassy yard and work from home a lot, which means I spoil my pets and it's a constant love fest at my house. I currently have a rescued cat and little dog, and we are all looking forward to making new furry friends! I believe playing and exercising dogs often is the key to their happiness and health and I enjoy taking them on long daily walks in addition to play time in the yard. My friends tell me their dogs get excited when they see they're coming to my house! IMPORTANT: For everyone's safety, a copy of vet records (shots) must be provided at the meet and greet and all furry guests must be flea protected! ;-) Please note: Early or late drop off or pick-up (before 8 am and after 10 pm) for either boarding or day care costs $ 20 extra. Boarding rates are for 24 hours. After a grace period of a couple of hours, any difference between the drop-off time and pick-up time will result in extra charges being applied by Rover. Day care is up to 12 hours. Also please note that puppies under 1 year old will be boarded for a special rate listed on my profile.

Valery was wonderful with Markie and Coco. She provided them a home away from home in her cozy little oasis. I wish she was close enough to provide all my dog sitting, but I shall certainly ask her any time I’m in the LA area. I’d give her 10 stars if I could.
Valerie is incredibly caring and knowledgeable about dog care. Olive is timid, and she seemed to really warm up to Valerie. Would highly recommend!
My dog had a great time at Valerie’s house! She sent me tons of pictures of him playing in her yard and going for a long walk. I booked his stay with her only a couple days in advance and she was very accommodating. Would definitely take him back to her
I’ve said it before, Valerie is the one I trust with my sweet Lucy. She is the very best!

I have a large grassy yard with quite a few trees, ideal for dogs to run around and chase a ball. I treat all my guests like my own pet, and I want the best for all my fur babies.

A day of boarding includes lots of playtime in the yard (we go in and out numerous times during the day) and one long walk in the neighborhood (40 min to 1 hour) .but I can give extra walks for an additional fee. I like to vary the walks around my neighborhood so I choose a different route every day so that nobody gets bored.

- If the dog has some behavioral quirks or issues, I need to know upfront. Like being afraid of the rain or something... I also request a copy of up-to-date vaccination records before dogs can be boarded (you can send them via email or your vet could send them, or you could bring a photocopy on the meet and greet) and all boarders need to be flea protected (lots of squirrels, possums, raccoons, etc. in the yard and I am super allergic to flea bites!). I also need to know if the dog has any dietary issues preventing him/her eating certain treats, etc. as I always have a big stash of various high quality treats to share. Clear and open conversation is essential to me so that I can fulfill your pet's needs to the fullest! I want to give all my furry friends the best experience ever, to make sure they're not too sad about their owners leaving them for a few days. Dogs usually get super excited when coming to my house, they know they're going to have a fun-filled break. ;-)
