I’ve had personal and professional experience caring for dogs of all sizes and breeds. I worked in an animal shelter in Baja, Mexico as an adoption representative/caretaker and assisted the head vet with minor medical procedures. I facilitated daily care of 15-20 dogs, including administering medications. I’ve also worked with trained therapy dogs as a wilderness therapy guide, keeping K9s safe, warm and fed in in all backcountry weather conditions. In addition, I’ve cared for working farm dogs and cattle herding dogs in an agricultural setting.

I believe in play based learning both for the kids I teach and the pets I care for! I love nourishing dogs of all ages with play, exercise, and love. I'm happy to meet the expectations of your family with regards to behavior and boundaries. If there are any specific training practices you'd like me to follow, please let me know. I am an avid runner and would love to take your dog out for up to 10 mile trail runs, depending on their activity level.

Tziporah is the absolute best dog sitter we have ever had! We have always had multiple rescued dogs as part of our family (now is no exception - three!) and finding a good sitter with their special needs is challenging. She took such great care of our babies and gave us constant updates. She went above and beyond. Highly recommend.
Tziporah was such an amazing sitter for our energetic pup Otto. She took him on a ton of adventures and sent lots of updates and pictures. Tziporah was great walking my 9 Mo old golden retriever Thurman! She got back to me very quickly when I needed someone for a few days to walk him in a pinch, flexible with her schedule and open communication. It made my day to see her photo updates. Thank you!
Tziporah is the best! In all of my interactions with her she has been thoughtful, responsible, respectful and excited. She is great with dogs, children and adults alike, and has a warm and kind demeanor. I would highly recommend her as a dog sitter/walker!
Tziporah was a lovely dog sitter for my Dad's 10 year old Golden Retriever and my Mom's 6 year old Chocolate Lab! She was very communicative and friendly while we coordinated the gig. My parents are pretty protective of their pups but they were impressed by Tziporah and were very happy with the care she gave the doggos. It was clear that she is a big dog person and loved spending time with Sunny and Luna as much as they loved having her. We can't recommend Tziporah's pet sitting skills enough!

Schedule
I’m currently a freelance writer and novelist working primarily from home, so I’m available for most of the day to spend quality time with your pet. I work occasionally as a substitute teacher, which would require me to be out of the home during the working day.
