My name’s Tyler Barker. You can call me Tay! I’m 31-years-young and have spent most of those years around dogs of all sorts, whether it’s my mom’s, my friend’s, a client’s, or even my roommate’s. I’ve spent 6 months walking for a small dog walking business in SF where I’ve walked and sat dogs but Rover has given me the opportunity to run my own business, so I prefer being here! Hiring me on ensures your pals have a good time, eat well, enjoy treats, get their exercise, and reassurance to you that everything’s going smooth. I’ve dealt with dogs of all sorts: puppies, elders, small, medium and big. I’m very friendly, caring, and interact with dogs like they’re my best friend, because they are! Above all, pet safety is my number one concern because I believe everyone involved deserves peace of mind when it comes to dogsitting, including your furry friend! If you want someone trustworthy, serious, attentive, safe, fun and happy for your dog to be around, you can’t go wrong with me as your dog sitter. My very first experience using Rover, and Tay exceeded EVERY expectation! Professional from the start, even came to do a meet and greet before the actual dates assigned to get familiar with the house, pets, and process to enter the apartment building/garage. Tay was very attentive to both my fur babies and sent me daily pictures and updates of the two, which I adored all the pictures were so cute and fun you can tell they were happy and taken care of. I felt so comfortable with Tay taking care of my babies and my home. I came back to an even cleaner house than I left it! Couldn’t even tell that my puppy had any accidents because they were cleaned up immediately. I am definitely a lifelong customer of Tay and trust my babies will always have the same love I give them even when I’m out traveling etc when in Tay’s care. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience I can’t say enough how grateful I am to find such an amazing patient and kind person.
We needed a last minute sitter and Tyler was immediately responsive! Tyler was caring, punctual, responsible, and communicative. We were reassured that our pets and our house were in the best care! Tyler was a great house sitter and we recommend Tyler to anyone.

No breed preferences but I like a dog that is behaved enough to where I can let it off leash without having to yell and chase it down. A dog that listens to and respects humans is ideal but I’m willing to work with all types of dogs. Their behavior will be the determining factor of how many activities they get to enjoy.
A typical day
I try my best to keep their current lifestyle in play. If you and your dog go on a walk or potty at around a certain time, I adhere to it. I’ve typically done a one hour walk a day with most dogs I’ve cared for but soon enough, I’ll be able to make time for more than that if needed. If they love to fetch, they will fetch! I want your dog to have a good time with me.

I do gig work on the side and am always able to be home and address your friend’s needs. If there is an accident, I clean it up. They can happen!
