Large Fenced Yard and GPS Tracking
Pet care experience
Together we both have extensive experience with dogs of all ages and types. We have experience raising puppies, including those being raised to be future service dogs. Additionally, we have experience working with special needs dogs that are blind or require daily insulin treatment. We currently have two dogs, a 5 year old black lab and a 2 year old golden retriever. Both are highly socialized and get along well with dogs of all sizes/personalities. Ochai is well-known at the Rib Mountain dog park as being one of the sweetest dogs to people and dogs alike. We both volunteer our time at the Humane Society of Marathon County. Furthering our experiences with dogs of many backgrounds and temperaments. You may see a featured adoptable dog that is currently at the shelter in our photos. This dog is one we personally think may be a great addition to a family, especially one that already has a dog! Sometimes we send our dogs to daycare so we can open up our home to a shelter dog for the day and give them the relaxing day they deserve so much. Of course, on the days we do this, we aren't available to offer daycare/boarding. If you have a HSMC graduate pup from May 2023 onward we would love to see our old friends again! Please let us know and we will offer a free day of boarding or daycare as a token of appreciation for adopting a HSMC pup!

Travis and Jessa have been excellent so far. They are welcoming to both our dogs and our dogs get excited to go see them and their furry friends. Even if it’s a last minute thing we’ve been lucky enough to book with them several times and they’re so accommodating and pleasant to work with. We appreciate them so much!

NEW! Tractive GPS Tracking The safety and wellbeing of your dog is always important to us and we know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your pet behind. That is why we have added a GPS tracker to utilize. Not only will your furry loved one's location always be known at any given second, but we can also track their health to make sure they are doing well during their stay. -We currently only have one device, so it is not a guarantee your dog will be utilizing it during their stay. If you would like to guarantee it for your pup during their stay, we can accommodate these types of requests at the time of booking for $5/night or $25/stay. -We can share access to the tracker so you can know your pups location at any time and can check in on their health. It will show various information like their sleep activity and exercise information. This is only available if you reserve the tracker ahead of their stay. ---NEW! We are now privately insured outside of Rover. This allows additional and even more comprehensive coverage for your pup while they stay with us. Through PSA we are able to offer up to $2,500 in deductible free veterinary care if your pup gets hurt/ill.--- Our house features a spacious half acre yard that is fully fenced in. You will get plenty of pictures and updates of your pup under our care. Please let us know the frequency of pictures/updates you would like and we will be happy to show you how your pup is doing. If the weather is nice, I will try to get outside and take some pictures with an actual camera for you to enjoy. Our goal is to provide quality care and take care of your pup just as much as we do our own. We love helping people and having them know their pup is being well cared for when you can't be with them.

Information Travis & Jessa J. would like to know about your pet
1) Since we have two dogs of our own, your dog must be okay being around other dogs. 2) We cannot accommodate dogs that are free-feeders (have food access at all times). If your dog is a free-feeder at home, they would be fed at set times at our house. 3) Please let us know if your dog has any special needs ahead of time. This includes any allergies that may be in treats we provide to the dogs. 4) Please let us know of any bad habits your dog may have that we would need to look out for. This may include, but is not limited to: digging holes, chewing on furniture, eating dog toys, counter surfing, trash digging, etc. 5) If there are any habits you don't allow at home that you would prefer not to do at our house, please let us know. This includes jumping on people or being on furniture. 6) We highly recommend you bring food for your dog that it is used to. Switching to an entirely new food can be hard on a dogs stomach. Feel free to bring anything else your dog may appreciate and make their time away from home easier. 7) Please let us know if your dog utilizes a kennel. We have two that can fit dogs up to approximately 60 pounds (golden retriever/lab sized dog). 8) Your dog needs to be up to date on all vaccines recommended by your vet. We also highly encourage that your dog is on a flea and tick preventative. Our yard backs up to a wooded area and with that can come pests. We want all of our guests to have a safe stay and not pick up unwanted guests while having fun.
A typical day
Being at home all day and having a spacious yard, we love to take breaks to play outside. Whether that be fetch or just relaxing outside. We just got a doggy pool that our golden retriever can't get enough of. In the evening, we like to go on a nice walk to burn off some energy. We live near Bluegill Bay Park and always enjoy a nice walk along Lake Wausau. Our dogs are big fans of the nature trails to take in all the smells and watch the deer. Once the sun sets, we have an endless supply of dog beds for your dog to snooze away the rest of the day.

Availability
When we confirm a booking you should know that at least one of us will likely be with your dog at all times, day or night. We both work from home quite often and before confirming a reservation we will check/adjust our schedules to make sure someone is going to be home during the day. It is important to your pup's experience and safety that someone is watching them at all times.
