I developed a deep love and admiration for animals at an early age. Growing up, I had every furry friend you could imagine. There’s was a point I had as many as 6 pets at a time. Today, I am a proud pet-parent of 1 dog and 2 cats. Having so many pets, I have mastered the art of multitasking and have developed a routine that ensures all my pets’ needs are met consistently. I have cared for pets of all ages and with varying needs. My dog suffers from hypothyroidism and obesity, so I have experience in medication administration and special diets. Furthermore, my dog is now in her golden years, so I have experience with senior pets as well. Throughout the years, I’ve also helped friends and family members with caring for their pets. I am confident in my ability to provide the upmost care to your pet(s) as I do mine and my loved ones. Rest assured that I will provide your pet with the love, care and attention that all animals deserve.

Toneshea dropped in on my two cats for 10 days. She did great with them, followed all my instructions, and went the extra mile to rotate some of their toys and try new things since they were alone for so long. She even got my shy cat who's warry of strangers to come out her shell and seek pets and play after a few days.

I will respect the owner’s home and their wishes on how they’d like me to care for their pet (e.g feeding, grooming, playing etc.) Furthermore, before departing I will ensure the pet has everything they need and that the home is free of any hazards. This includes placing your pet in their crate/area as appropriate.

Let me know if your pet has any special needs that I can assist with such as medications or special diets. Also, I am open to small grooming tasks such as brushing, ear cleaning or nail clipping. However, please advise of any aggressive or reactive behaviors in advance.
A typical day
I am aware that animals thrive on routines so I will be sure to follow any instructions you provide for your fur babies. I will ensure that your pets receive proper exercise and mental stimulation while you’re away as well. My routine: I take my dogs for two 20-30 minute walks a day - first thing in the morning and after work in the evenings. I let them out for potty breaks twice around mid-day and right before bed. My dogs are fed breakfast around 8am and dinner around 6-7pm. My cats eat more frequently throughout the day at 8am, 1pm, 6pm and 10pm. To keep my dogs occupied during the day while I work from home, I usually give them a dental chew or treat puzzle. As for my cats, I typically let them out onto the back porch or I will put the television on “cat tv” for them. We also have lots of cuddles and playtime before bed!

I work from home full-time as a social worker. My schedule is flexible so I can make myself available for drop-ins and walks. On the weekends I am able to spend extended periods of time with your pets, if needed.
