I grew up on a farm and always loved animals from an early age. Have owned and trained large hunting dogs and pets as an adult. I treat them with respect as loveable members of the family. The best fit for me is large dogs that are used to being outside and active. I typically don’t allow them to sleep inside or be on furniture but inside for evenings or rainy afternoons while under control is common.

Tom did a great job with our large and lively dog. He got to enjoy plenty of outside time running around the large yard and chasing critters. Tom was prompt with communication and sent picture and video updates. We will be using him again!

Tom was awesome. He kept us updated with how Cooper was doing and what he was doing. We enjoyed seeing the pictures of Cooper because it showed us that Cooper was very comfortable with him and was enjoying his time away from home. We absolutely will use Tom again.
Nelli has stayed with Tom three times now. She jumps out of the truck too excitedly greet him! I know she’s safe and happy and well loved while I’m gone and that’s about all I can ask for!! 1 million stars for Tom!! Where did you say the code was 2020 🐶🐶

My home is on nearly an acre and have an entirely fenced back yard so they get to play as much as they like outdoors. I have a dog door into a heated and fenced area in the garage. If a dog is outside in the yard and unleashed, I will be watching them. I love playing fetch with them or watching them get rid of the zoomies.

It is important to know the likes and dislikes of your dog and the behavior around other dogs. Will they jump or dig? Will they have separation anxiety? What stimulates barking, pacing or other anxiety behaviors? Can I trust your dog to obey simple commands like here and stay? Any aggressive behaviors to strangers and/or other animals (dogs, deer, squirrels, rabbits, etc)? Any normal unique behaviors that I should know are not a problem?
A typical day
We will go for walks, play catch and get belly rubs. We will also relax and nap. Perhaps say hello to the local deer herd and the squirrels and rabbits. If they are ok in the car, I love hiking with them to local open spaces. I like dogs that like the outside as much as me.

Availability
I am retired and can take care of dogs any day of the week. I can walk them and check them as needed including weekends. I usually keep them in a kennel in the garage with a dog door so they can come and go as they like. Normally there is a morning walk and an afternoon walk to go with their activities. Bedtime is when it gets dark and morning feed time is when the sun comes up. If they like car rides and are ok with short stays by themselves, I’ll take them with me wherever I go.
