Dog Balancing Hotel and Retreat

Board your dog with a certified professional. I am a certified professional Dog Trainer/Behaviorist (CPDT-KA/CBCC-KA) with 34 years of experience training and rehabilitating dogs. I have 25 years of dog boarding experience, am a graduate of the former San Francisco SPCA Dog Training Academy (the Harvard of dog training schools), received my Dog behavior certification from the University of California, Davis Veterinary School, and am certified in dog CPR/emergency care. I am a listed member of the Pet Sitter Association, and a former member for 15 years in the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. Before any reservation is accepted from a new client, a meet and greet is mandatory. It is important for you to see the Hotel, learn its daily routine, and for both parties to see if the Hotel is a good fit for your dog's stay. We are a crate environment, so keep that in mind before inquiring. Each dog that comes to the Dog Balancing Hotel gets a daily walk and structured activities to enrich their experience at the Hotel. Your dog will be monitored 24/7 during their stay, both by human presence and an HD camera system. I will make sure your dog(s) stay warm in the winter, cool in the summer ( via three wireless temperature-controlled ceiling fans and a dedicated heating and air conditioning system) in a spa-like environment while you enjoy your vacation or weekend trip. We feature Dog TV for your dog's entertainment during downtimes, aroma, and sound therapy to keep your dog calm and comfortable. I do offer virtual dog behavioral modification services to help dogs with behavioral and training issues. As a dog care professional, I will make sure your dog has a first-rate visit and return to you relaxed, well cared for, and with a personal evaluation of your dog's behavior. I follow the American Pet Sitters Association guidelines for dog boarding.

Terry was AMAZING with my dog Winnie. He was incredibly insightful and gave great advice on how to work with her in areas that she really needs! Winnie absolutely loved it there and Terry is so great to talk to! I can’t sing higher praises!

Terry and the Dog Balancing crew were phenomenal. It was my first time having my 1 year old Husky mix boarding at another persons house while my family & I went on vacation. I couldn’t have ask for greater communication and assurance from Dog Balancing. I was very impressed with their schedule, knowledge, and expertise in dog training. I knew my dog was in good hands. We will definitely book with Dog Balancing again.

Anybody who spends any amount of time with Terry will know that he has an intense passion for dog care. His dogsitting facility is absolutely incredible. No expense is spared for your dog's comfort. I got frequent updates on my dog's wellbeing throughout her stay. I highly recommend Terry's services.

My dog Anzu enjoyed her stay at Terry's so much I don't think she missed me... He also gave me few tips since we are still in training with her manners. She behaved so well that gave me a confidence with her training.

Terrance is an amazing sitter. He is flexible, professional and very responsive. I could tell he knew a lot about caring for dogs and I always learn something new about training your dog. Definitely will be coming back.
