Attentive Sitter for Anxious Pets
I’m a reliable, detail-oriented pet sitter who’s especially great with anxious, sensitive, and senior pets. I take the time to really understand each animal—what makes them comfortable, what stresses them out, and how to build trust quickly. I’ve worked with dogs who are nervous (including anxiety in elevators, new spaces, and around other dogs), reactive, or slow to warm up, and I’m very patient in helping them feel safe and confident. I also have extensive experience with senior pets and complex medical routines, including oral, topical, eye, ear, and injected medications. I’m very communicative and proactive—I’ll ask thoughtful questions upfront and keep you updated with frequent photos and detailed check-ins, so you always know how your pet is doing. Whether your pet needs structure, patience, or just lots of love and attention, I adapt to their personality and make sure they feel comfortable and cared for.

Teresa watched our dog for almost two weeks and did an amazing job. She listened carefully to our notes about taking care of her, asked lots of questions to ensure our dog would be comfortable and sent multiple daily updates. We could tell from the pictures that our dog was having an amazing time and was getting tons of exercise, pets and care. We would highly recommend Teresa and definitely plan to work with her again!
Moo had her last (for now!) walk with Teresa today. She was our Manhattan angel in our brief stay in the city while I was recovering from surgery. Moo absolutely loved her and they had the best walks together. We will miss Teresa until she moves to Brooklyn!!!

I’m a law student with a flexible schedule, which gives me a lot of time at home to spent time with your pets while they are boarding or at daycare with me, or if I am housesitting in your home. Walks and drop-ins are a welcome study break for me as well. My class schedule changes each semester, but I will keep you updated about what times specifically I am available. I can adjust my routine to match your pet’s needs—whether that’s midday walks, medication timing, or extra time at home for companionship.

I’m very attentive to details and routines, and I’ll always follow your instructions closely while also using my judgment to keep your pet safe and comfortable. Communication is a big priority for me. I provide regular updates, photos, and notes so you feel fully informed and at ease while you’re away.

A typical day is tailored to your pet’s personality and energy level. For dogs, that might mean relaxed neighborhood walks, playtime, or longer outings if they enjoy being active. For more anxious pets, I focus on calm, structured time to help them feel comfortable. For cats, I include play, feeding, and quiet time together. I always make sure pets get attention, stimulation, and plenty of care—not just the basics. You will always be getting regular updates and photos while your pet is with me.
