Pet care experience
Playtime with me and Sandwich
I've taken care of friend's and family's dogs for years. Since I moved home to Moab, I've worked on making my house/yard dog friendly. After achieving that goal, I adopted my own dog Sandwich from a local shelter. She's the sweetest and she loves to play. We go on walks daily and always love bringing others along with us. So if you want to get your dog a little extra exercise and care and a chance to explore Moab while you explore on your own, please reach out.

Ratings and reviews
I left my old lady pup with Sylvia and her crew while my family and I snuck out for a longer hike with our younger pups during our visit to Moab. Sylvia was great and my pup was super comfortable with her!

Sylvia was super accommodating last minute and Captain had a great day with her!

Sylvia and her pups took great care of our dog!

Great experience! Lettie was so so happy there that the second and third mornings she went running up to the fence gait and then the house door to get in! Each evening she was tired which is impressive for her! It was wonderful to know that she was taken care of and able to be cool! Thanks for taking care of her while we were out adventuring!

Pups were super happy and relaxed, well cared for.

I had a wonderful experience with Sylvia while visiting Moab, UT. It was my first time using a dog sitter in a different state, and Sylvia made sure it was a smooth experience. She took the initiative to meet up the day before so my pup could meet her dogs, ensuring they got along well. Throughout the stay, she kept Ranger safe and provided good care. I was out of service, so I couldn't receive updates directly. However, Slyvia went the extra mile by messaging my mom to let her know that Ranger was settling in nicely. Overall, I highly recommend Slyvia for anyone looking for reliable and caring pet sitting services in Moab. Thank you again for taking such good care of Ranger!

Calendar and availability
Schedule
I have a very flexible schedule. I can pick up dogs for walks any time. I can do drop ins when it works best for you and your dog.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
The main consideration is weather and the temperature in the desert. I don't take my dog on any hikes when she can overheat. If it's a hot day, I make sure we go somewhere that has water so she can take a nice long drink and get a little swimming in. Most of the day, Sandwich lounges at home after getting her energy out in the morning. In the evening we usually go for a shorter walk before dinner, and I would offer the same for your dog.

A typical day
Breakfast can be a little fun training if your dog likes that. I love morning walks, so we usually start with one of those before it gets too hot. I let the dogs run off leash if possible to get their energy out. By that point they're usually happy to chill at the house. In the evening they get lots of snuggles and pets if they like that. Often i'll go for a short evening walk. Dinner, maybe a movie or some true crime if they're into it. ;) Bedtime. Repeat.
