Safety, trust & environment

I have tons of experience in the animal welfare industry caring for all shapes, sizes, breeds, and backgrounds of dogs and cats. I have training in fear-free handling, body language, and obedience training. I can comfortably take care of any fur baby I meet!

Information Sydney H. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your dog has any special needs! Reactivity or triggers are especially important so I know what to avoid while watching them or on a walk. It’s already stressful when you are gone, so this helps make it less stressful! I would love to know their favorite treats and toys as well, so we are sure to have fun together and build a bond.

A typical day

My favorite way to wear out a dog is through mental stimulation, this is always overlooked! We will be sure to stop and smell the roses everywhere we go, even if there isn’t roses (haha). If your dog is an expert at fetch, we will get along great! If not, we will be besties anyways. My favorite place to take my dogs is to the ponds to watch the geese. Sitting on a bench and people watching is also a favorite!

Pets

Animals are my passion! ❤️❤️

Pet care experience

I’ve been surrounded by pets and other animals my entire life! I grew up on a farm where I helped care for dogs, chickens, horses, goats, and guinea fowl. I currently have 2 dogs of my own. I work for a local animal shelter leading our adoptions team. I even have human healthcare experience and can administer animal medications!

Sydney is a extremely caring person who treats each animal with dignity and compassion, when watching my cat she went above and beyond to keep me updated (it's so hard to leave him so getting regular updates meant the world) and I knew he was getting attention- not just someone who threw the food down and walked out. I would recommend Sydney to anyone as she really does care for every animal like it is her own
