Disponibilité

My days are entirely devoted to your dogs. I occasionally have other dog walks for Clients, but I will include your dog, if at all possible. It is unusual for dogs to be left alone for more than an hour as my partner and sister are on hand to help.

Sécurité, confiance et environnement

All dogs are treated as part of the family. If allowed on furniture at home, then they are at mine. I endeavour to stick to the owners routine and requirements at all times but, ultimately, its the happiness and welfare of the dogs that is important to me.

Informations que Sue K. aimerait connaître au sujet de votre animal domestique

All dogs are loved in my home (they are what make it home), but they are required to be vaccinated and friendly. I will need their microchip number which is usually on the vaccination certificate. At a meet and greet, I'll ask about your pet's usual routine, feeding, sleeping arrangements, medication, etc. I have administered medication to many dogs over the years (sometimes it needs a lot of imagination). Typical questions and answers for new owners:- Q - Are you licensed? A - Yes, I have been issued a 5⭐️ boarding license by North Northants Council (License Number 21/00355/AWBH) Note: Anyone who hosts doggy daycare or home boarding must have a license. Q - Are you insured? A - Yes, full public liability insurance cover. Q - Are dogs treated as part of the family? A - They most definitely are. If they are allowed on the furniture at home, then they are at mine. All dogs are free to roam the ground floor of the house and fenced garden. Q - Are dogs ever kennelled or crated? A - Never kennelled. Dogs will only ever be crated if they are already crate trained, and if it’s a specific request of the owner. Q - Where do dogs sleep? A - Dogs sleep downstairs, either on the sofas, on their bed, or any other dog bed, or possibly in the kitchen in hotter weather conditions. Q - Where are you based? A - I’m in Thrapston which has numerous riverside and beautiful walks in the locality. It is possible to walk to Stanwick Lakes or Titchmarsh Reserve from my house, so miles of walking available. Q - How many walks are included? A - A minimum of two 20 minute walks a day are included (weather permitting, ie excessive temperatures). Note: If your specific instructions are for no walks to be included, then this will be adhered to. Q - Does this include daycare? A - Yes, two walks minimum (subject to the same criteria as above). Q - How many dogs do you walk together? A - They are usually walked in pairs as handling anymore is likely to compromise their safety. Q - Do you walk dogs off-lead? A - Only with signed permission from the owners. Q - How many dogs do you board at the same time? A - My licence stipulates 4, but I endeavour to keep it below that, unless I am extremely familiar with all dogs to be staying. Q - Who supplies their food? A - You, plus their treats, as dogs have very different dietary requirements. Note: I always keep extra wet and dry food and treats. Note: Dog bowls don’t need to be provided unless your dog has a slow feeding bowl. Note: Dogs are separated for feeding, but not necessarily for treats. Q - Are dogs left alone for long periods? A - It is only on very rare occasions that dogs are left alone as usually there is someone at home (ie my partner or sister). If left alone, it would be for a relatively short period of time. Q - Are meet and greets free? A - Absolutely. Q - Do you provide enrichment time? A - Yes, I have a toy box, paddling pool and lots of balls and I’m more than happy to have playtime as it should be a part of a dog’s routine. Q - Do you have a Pet First Aid Certificate? A - Yes. My criteria for booking includes the following:- Current vaccination certificate. Note: Don’t worry if you forget to get your dog’s record updated - you can either contact your vet and request a copy, or you could give me permission to call the vet on your behalf for verification.I must either see a copy of the certificate or check with the vet directly. If I’m unsure as to the authenticity of the certificate in any way, I will not accept your pet.

Une journée type

I'm more than happy to walk your dog as much as they would like but, as a requirement of my home boarding licence, dogs are walked at least twice daily (unless otherwise specified by owner), I'll incorporate playtime, plus lots of fuss, belly rubs and any other attention, such as grooming.

Licensed 5⭐️home boarder, an avid dog lover

Expérience en matière de services dédiés aux animaux de compagnie

I am an experienced home boarder of over 9 years, licensed by North Northants Council (License Number 21/00355/AWBH), and have been awarded a 5 ⭐️rating. I've been raised alongside dogs. I have an abundance of repeat customers with happy dogs. I often see the owner having to drag them away from my door because they want to see me which is a testament to my treatment of them. Always plenty of walks, lots of fuss, cuddles and playtime. DBS checked. Also experienced in house sitting, pet visits and dog walking. I have looked after many dogs over the years with behavioural and/or walking issues and I always endeavour to try to get to the root of their issues with lots of reassurance, love and common sense. If house sitting, I am happy to cater for any other pets also at the property at the time of visiting. All dogs for home boarding or doggy daycare must have an up-to-date vaccination certificate. Also, dogs staying in excess of 3 nights, will be subject to a trial night beforehand to ensure that we bond together well (usual rate fee to be paid). Please also remember that my fees include the additional cost of my licence from the Council with all relevant updating and approvals carried out, full and comprehensive public liability insurance, plus the fact that I am not caring for your dog as an additional second income, or because I’m working from home- it’s because I’m passionate about dogs and their welfare 🐾🐶💕 Bookings are already being taken for 2024, so please book early to avoid disappointment. All meet and greets are free of charge, available at a convenient time for you, even at weekends.
