Peace of Mind Pet Care – Safe, Rural & Reliable <3
Pet care experience
About Me Hi! I’m Sophie – a lifelong animal lover with over 8 years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. I live in a peaceful rural area surrounded by fields, with a secure open garden and a small enclosed one right next to my house. I work from home, so your pets will never be left alone – they’ll be part of the family while they’re here. I share my home with my own friendly crew: 🐾 Kisa, my gentle elderly dog who’s the queen of calm cuddles 🐾 Harley, an older collie mix who still plays like a pup 🐾 Mimi, a sweet 9-month-old kitten (friendly to all – except the local voles 😅) I have experience with everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs and indoor-only cats. I’ve also cared for dogs with complex needs, including those with seizures, deafness, and medication routines (oral meds, injections, eye drops – you name it). I’m happy to accommodate special care and will always work with you to ensure your pets feel safe and loved. I prioritise keeping owners informed and at ease – I know how hard it is to leave your furry family behind, and I treat every animal in my care like one of my own. ❤️
Reviews
I have known Sophie for years and she has always been the most caring, hard-working and honest person I've ever met. She has cat sit for me numerous times while I have been away and the house was left spot-less, the cats kept immaculate and I was always updated with photos and messages letting me know how my cats are doing without me - couldn't have asked for more! Sophie does her job diligently, lovingly and with the utmost respect for her clients and their wishes. You could not ask for a better caregiver.
Absolute pleasure to have Sophie dog sit my Winston! He's a large dog which can sometimes put people off but thankfully Sophie was more than happy to look after him. Can tell Winston has gotten the attention he deserves after I get home, would highly recommend!

Safety, trust & environment
Pets in my care are treated like extended pack members from the moment they arrive. I make sure every animal feels safe, respected, and comfortable — whether that means quiet time, playtime, or sticking closely to their usual routine. At my home, I have an open garden surrounded by peaceful countryside, perfect for sniffy walks and fresh air. I also have a smaller enclosed garden right next to the house for potty breaks and supervised outside time. I never leave pets unsupervised outside. Inside, pets have full access to safe, cozy spaces, with comfy spots to relax and regular opportunities for cuddles, enrichment, and play. I supervise all interactions between pets and always follow your preferences regarding routines, feeding, sleeping, and exercise. I have experience with: Administering medication (oral, eye drops, injections) Caring for elderly, deaf, or anxious animals Managing multi-pet households calmly and safely Whether your pet stays with me or I care for them in your home, I aim to create a calm, stress-free experience where they feel loved and you feel reassured 🐾

Information Sophie D. would like to know about your pet
Before any booking, I like to learn as much as possible about your pet’s routine, needs, and personality. The more I know, the better I can make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you're away. Even their negative quirks! It can help me work around them. Things that are especially helpful to know in advance: Behaviour & Personality – Are they nervous with new people or other animals? Do they have any triggers, fears, or habits I should know about? Routines – Feeding times, walking schedules, sleeping preferences, crate use, etc. Health Needs – Any medication, allergies, mobility issues, or previous injuries? Social Preferences – Are they friendly with other dogs and/or cats? Prefer to be left alone? Let me know how they do with new environments and other animals. House Rules – Anything you’d like me to keep consistent (e.g., no couch, no treats, specific lead types)? Potty Habits – Any signals they use or things to look out for? My goal is to make your pet’s time with me as stress-free and familiar as possible — and that starts with knowing their unique quirks and needs.
A typical day
Whether your pet loves zoomies or zen time, I tailor activities to match their personality and energy level, I can offer a lovely mix of open space and calm corners — perfect for play, snuggles, and everything in between. Outdoor fun includes walkies through peaceful fields, garden playtime, and sniffy exploring (always supervised and secure). Indoor enrichment like treat puzzles, toy time, trick training, or simply relaxing with soft blankets and cuddles on the sofa. Sensory activities like snuffle mats, nose games, and for older pets, gentle massage or just lying in the sun with a breeze through the window. The usual for my pack! If your pet is shy, elderly, or just prefers the quiet life, we take it slow and build trust through calm companionship, consistent routines, and plenty of love. Basically — your pet sets the pace, and I bring the fun 🐶💕

Pet care is part of my everyday routine! I live and work from home, so I’m always around to give the animals in my care plenty of attention, love, and supervision throughout the day. (I work in cimla voluntarily on weekends - can sit in that area) Whether it’s cuddles on the sofa, supervised play in the garden, or peaceful strolls through the nearby fields, your pet’s needs easily fit into my schedule. I’m used to working around feeding times, medication schedules, and different energy levels — from playful pups to snoozy seniors. I structure my day around the pets in my care, not the other way around. I sometimes volunteer on the weekends but that's as and when!
