I provide a treats (if allowed), a dog bed, bowls, toys and backup leash (but I prefer you bring the leash your dog is familiar with!). Please feel free to bring a crate if you’d like to crate your dog! When a visit starts, I like to take the dogs on “Welcome Walk” where we get acquainted in the great outdoors. This allows me to build our bond in neutral space with plenty of positive stimulation for the dogs. I prioritize safety and clear communication (with owners and dogs!) to create a comfortable experience for all. I have used the clicker training method in the past, and do not believe in any form of domineering or physical correction. Your dog will have a stable experience here!

I’m happy to care for anxious, energetic or elderly dogs, but please share their temperament with me ahead of time. Anxious dogs often have special routines or calming medication, and I am happy to continue this routine in my home.

Lifelong dog owner with decades of experience caring for dogs both big and small. I work from home and am able to provide constant care, companionship and plenty of exercise. I am happy to host dogs from different families if they are friendly, but I am also happy to host your dog(s) alone. Boarders or daycare get at least two to three 30+ min walks/day, dozens of photos, and lots of love of course! I provide toys, bowls, a dog bed, treats, poop bags and a backup leash. A tired dog is a good dog :) I grew up with border collies and labs, then rescued my own dogs in adulthood. One of my rescues was a very sick 3-month old puppy that I raised, so I am well-versed with puppy care. I do not currently have pets living in the home, so your dogs will have the run of the place! I own my own home on a quiet circle street. My yard is an expansive quarter acre of grass with access to miles of mowed walking paths. I am happy to brush the dogs after these walks, if safe and allowed. When a visit starts, I like to take the dogs on a “Welcome Walk” to get acquainted in neutral outdoor space. My six year old son is often present for a booking. He is a responsible child who has been taught to be respectful of dogs by giving them space and patience. We have firm rules that he will never climb, poke, tease or infringe on a dog’s personal space. If your booking request ends up being a time that he will be staying with me, then he enjoys participating in meet in greets to ensure everyone is a great fit :) we have yet to meet a dog we didn’t like! I can’t say enough wonderful things about Sophia! She sent updates 3xs a day with lots of pictures! You can tell she genuinely cares about your pup.
Sophia is a lovely young woman who performed drop in calls with my two cats over a three day weekend. She was always on time did exactly as I had asked in the instructions. Her communication, notifications, report card and pictures were prompt and left my mind at ease knowing that my two cats were being well taken care of! I highly recommend her to be sure!
Sophia was wonderful with our dogs & I had no worries while they were under her watch. She went above & beyond to provide good care, long walks, and lots of play time for our puppy. We will definitely be using her for pet sitting in the future.
First of all, Sofia took my dogs on short notice and over a holiday weekend. I'm not saying to use her that way, but it does show her flexibility, willingness, and commitment to your pet(s). I pretty much knew from the meet and greet that she was going to be an awesome pet-sitter, and Sofia did not disappoint. Her tagline 'tail wags guaranteed' is accurate. She was very attentive to my pets' needs, including special feeding needs, she was very patient when one of my dogs turded in her house during our first meeting, and very she was very enthusiastic about getting to hang with them. That's what your pets will get with Sofia. Not a 'pet-sitter', but a buddy to hang with. My dogs loved her as evident from the many pictures and updates she sent. They were all smiles and tail wags. I knew they were comfortable with her because they ate their food. Heck, they even got their own private fort AND got to sleep in the bed with Sophia...although if she continued to allow that, she's a crazy person. Lastly, a small detail but one I appreciated - she washed their blankets and bowls before I picked them up. Thank you, Sofia! TL;DR - Choose Sofia. She is a good natured person, and your pets will notice.
