I have spent my life surrounded by animals, and I cannot imagine it any other way. Over the years I have cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, parrots, turtles, fish, sheep, and many others. Each one has taught me something new, and that range of experience has made me a calm, observant, and adaptable carer. I have a particular soft spot for dogs. I see them as gentle, loyal little companions who give so much love so freely, and I believe they deserve to be cared for with patience, respect, and genuine attention. Because animals cannot use words, I pay close attention to their behaviour, body language, habits, and small changes in mood. To me, this is how real trust is built. A formative experience for me was caring for a rescue Corgi who had a limb amputation. Over two years with her, I came to understand how much consistency, gentle handling, and emotional reassurance can mean to an animal who has been through difficulty. I never consider myself an expert, because every animal continues to teach me more. I currently share my home with two cats, and I have experience with small and exotic pets, including a wonderfully long-lived hamster. I am comfortable following detailed feeding routines, keeping food and litter areas clean, giving medication when needed, and sending regular photo updates so you can feel reassured while you are away. What matters most to me is simple: your pet should feel safe, loved, and understood, and your home should be treated with the same care and respect I would give my own.
