Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Sophie and I go to Kansas State University but will be home for most of the summer. I’ve always had a love and special connection to animals, especially dogs. Growing up I’ve always had pets in my house and was always trusted to pet sit. I’ve had and sat dogs, cats, lizards, birds, fush, frogs, and turtles. I’m super comfortable and flexible when it comes to pet sitting! Although I already have a part time job, I think I’d make a great sitter because I’ve had a lot of experience and a love for animals.

Sophia did a PHENOMENAL job!! I had a dog sitter cancel on me before a business trip with a 2 hour notice. Sophia last second came in and saved the day ! My pets absolutely loved her and she gave them great attention and care! I will 100% be booking her services again !

I am very used to giving medication to animals and other accommodations. I previously had two elder dogs who needed a lot of maintenance so I am aware of odd behaviors, assistance, etc. I also have a younger dog who I took care of as a puppy so I have a lot of experience with younger, more energetic dogs. I am used to dogs being yard trained where they don’t need to be watched outside, but I have no problem taking them out on leashes or just watching in general!

Let me know if your dog has any medications! It seems obvious but I’ve had owners forget to tell me about it and it can be dangerous for the dog. Also let me know their personality! I like being able to walk in with an expectation.
A typical day
Depends on the dog! Dogs and I love rough housing, but if that’s not their style and they’re more relaxed, I’d accommodate them. If I were to be sitting a very energetic dog I would probably try to tire them out whether it’s taking them on a walk, playing, etc.
