Pet care experience
I’ve been an owner of dogs and cats since I was 7 and have experience w/ crate training and walking dogs of all sizes :) I spent a gap year in Ithaca where I dog and cat sat frequently in my off time as a home health aide. I’m currently a full time grad student of physical therapy at Stony Brook University and am looking to home-sit, dog walk, and drop in when needed on my free weekdays and weekends! I miss my pet and home and would love the opportunity to care for others while away at school.

Sophie was great! She took great care of Roz and was very communicative. I could tell Roz was in great hands from the moment I dropped her off. Would definitely recommend!
Sofie stepped in for us when our sitter cancelled at the last minute. She came over and did the meet and greet and immediately began bonding with our pets. We came home to very happy (very full due to a funny mishap with treats) house of pets.
She was very attentive with my pup and sent lots of pictures throughout his stay. I could see he was having a great time!
Sofie was wonderful Navi didn’t want to leave! I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants great care for their dog.

I would like to know if the dog is easily excited by other dogs to be weary when walking them in public spaces where other dogs may be.
A typical day
i love to run and walk and would be happy to take dogs on drives to local trials and hikes. I also love backyard play and a good ball toss.

Availability
I’m currently a full time grad student, so late afternoon drop ins, walks, or weekends work best for me. On weekdays where my classes start in the afternoons I can also come by on mornings.
