Hi! I’m Sierra. I’m 27 and work in Higher Ed. I work full time from home, Monday through Friday in a role that is very flexible. My dog recently passed at age 13, and while I’m not feeling ready yet to adopt or foster, I still want some animals in my life! I would love to take care of your animals (I have 15+ years of experience caring for cats, dogs, and horses) while you’re out for the day at work and your pet needs just a check in, or I can host them in my cozy and pet friendly home or take care of them at yours! I’m pretty active and would love to take your animals out and play, walk, small hikes if you’d prefer! They can also come to my home and spend the day with me as I am home all day, where they can be taken care of. I have heat and AC, and a safe and reliable vehicle. I have a mostly fenced in large yard that would be supervised 100% of the time.

I am willing to host your pets at my home for a day or prolonged period of time. You can drop off your pet to me on your way to work, or I can come pick them up. I own a multi- family house, and live on property in a spacious apartment. I have a mostly fenced in large yard. I have a safe and reliable vehicle for transportation. I am home all day (WFH) and I have AC in the summer and heat in the winter. I am also willing to drop in on your pets during the day for feedings, walk, enrichment if you prefer they stay home, or drop in just for a walk a few times a day as well as needed for your pet.

Hi my name is Sierra! I have grown up with animals my entire life and feel genuinely comfortable around all animals, large and small! I have taken care of my own family dogs, as well as pet sit and walk neighbors and other friends dogs. I am always happy, but properly cautious, when meeting new furry friends however I have never met an animal, specifically a dog, that I do not love. My good friends know me as the girl who will always point on every dog I see to you. I would love to come meet your furry friend, and shower them with as much love as I can and to give them everything you need, as I understand life can be so busy and we always want what is best for them!

I booked with Sierra about 2 weeks prior to my trip, paid the fee and confirmed. In the process I missed a message from her about setting up a meet and greet. I didn’t do this with two other sitters from Rover prior so it wasn’t on my mind as a necessary step. I did not notice her message until the day before my trip. She did not reach out during the 2 weeks prior to my trip after I paid to check in again about the meet and greet nor did she cancel the stay due to my lack of response. I reached out the day before my trip to confirm and acknowledged that I didn’t see the message about the meet and greet but was willing to bring my dog down that day if need be. I messaged her three times and called and left a voicemail asking that she either confirm she would be able to watch him without the meet greet or let me know that she needed to cancel because of my mistake. No response so I reached out to Rover, they tried to reach her and were unable to. Her full address is not listed on the itinerary so if she was still planning to watch him I had no way of knowing where to bring him without a response. Fortunately after Rover couldn’t reach her they refunded me but it was incredibly stressful trying to find someone else to watch my dog at 8:00 pm the night before my 10:00 am flight. While it was my mistake in not seeing her message sooner the lack of follow up and responsiveness was incredibly unprofessional. I wouldn’t take the risk booking with her.
Sierra did a great job watching my two girls and our house. She was responsive, punctual, sent pictures of the girls, and was able to accommodate our girls needs perfectly. I would book Sierra again in a heartbeat.
