As a night nurse, I work only 3 nights each week, which gives me plenty of flexibility during my days and on my days off. I am looking for a meaningful way to fill that time by helping others and doing something I truly enjoy. Caring for pets is a perfect fit for my schedule because I am available most weekdays, weekends, and many evenings. I love being able to spend my extra time helping families feel at ease knowing their pets are safe, loved, and well cared for while they are away.

Safety, trust & environment

I am happy to care for your pets either in my home or in yours, depending on what works best for your family and what makes your pet most comfortable. In my home, your pet will have plenty of love, attention, and room to play in my large yard, along with easy access through the dog door. They will be treated like part of the family and will have a safe, comfortable environment with lots of playtime, walks, cuddles, and a consistent routine. If you prefer care in your home, I can help maintain your pet’s normal schedule and environment to help them feel secure while you are away. I can provide feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medications if needed, and plenty of companionship. I understand that every pet is different, so I will follow your instructions carefully and make sure your pet receives the same love and care they are used to.

Information Sidney G. would like to know about your pet

To provide the very best care for your pet, I ask that you share a few important details ahead of time. Please let me know your pet’s usual feeding schedule, portion sizes, favorite treats, exercise routine, sleeping habits, and any medications or medical needs. I would also love to know about their personality, energy level, and any behaviors, fears, or triggers they may have so I can help them feel as comfortable as possible. Please share any house rules your pet is used to, such as whether they are allowed on furniture, crate trained, need to be leashed, or have any special routines. If your pet will be staying in my home, it is helpful to bring their food, leash, favorite toys, bed, blanket, and anything else that helps them feel at home. I also ask for emergency contact information, your veterinarian’s name and phone number, and instructions on what you would like me to do in case of an emergency. The more details you provide, the better I can make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while in my care.

A typical day

A typical day with me includes lots of attention, playtime, and making sure your pet feels safe and loved. In the morning, we start with a potty break, breakfast, fresh water, and some time outside to play or go for a walk. Throughout the day, I make sure your pet gets plenty of exercise, attention, and affection, whether that means playing in the yard, going on walks, or simply relaxing and getting cuddles. I keep to your pet’s normal routine as much as possible, including feeding times, potty breaks, naps, medications, and any special instructions. If your pet stays in my home, they will have access to my large yard and dog door, plus lots of interaction and companionship throughout the day. If I am caring for your pet in your home, I will make sure they stay comfortable and happy in their familiar environment. In the evening, we wind down with dinner, another walk or play session, and plenty of love before bedtime. My goal is for your pet to feel comfortable, cared for, and right at home while you are away.

Pet care experience

Hello! My name is Sidney, and I would love the opportunity to care for your pets. I currently work as a nurse and have both a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a Bachelor’s degree in Education. My background has taught me to be patient, dependable, attentive, and calm in any situation. I am trained and certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid, so you can feel confident knowing your pets are in safe and caring hands. I understand how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your animals while you are away. I am a huge animal lover and have a Shiba Inu named Rocco who is truly my baby. Because of him, I know that pets are family and deserve to be treated with love, attention, and kindness. I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes and personalities and am happy to help with feeding, walks, playtime, medications, overnight care, and lots of cuddles. I have my own home in Elizabeth with a huge yard and a dog door, giving pets plenty of space to run, play, and feel comfortable. My goal is to make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved while in my care. I would love to help your family in whatever way I can!

Sidney was loving and caring with Abby and she went above and beyond when we had an emergency request. We'll definitely ask her again.

Sidney is a loving, caring young lady who absolutely loves animals particularly dogs. She has lived with dogs most of her life. Kisses, hugs, scratching and just loving these precious animals is what they will get from her. Sidney is also dependable and trustworthy; truly a wonderful young woman. Smart, dedicated and responsible.
