Here for all your walking needs. I'm skilled at working with dogs with mild behavioral problems, such as aggression towards other dogs while on leash or skittishness around other dogs or people. I have a confident, no nonsense attitude for dogs that also focuses on positive reinforcement through verbal, sensory and food rewards. If you have specific tasks or difficult things you are working on, let me know and I will be happy to work them into the time I spend with your dog. As a trained social worker, I'm very focused on looking at the reason for a behavior and working it through with you and your dog, instead of punishing for bad behavior. I follow the rules and order of the house, trying to keep to a consistent environment and routine. If a certain route matters, we’ll do that. If a certain toy has to be there, we’ll get it.

Really impressed with the way Shivani approached and handled Brewer, who is working on getting comfortable with new people in our home. Her description of herself as "no-nonsense" is accurate, but it's also evident that she is knowlegeable, patient and kind. Things started off shaky, but she didn't bat an eye. By the next visit brew was wiggling to see her - once he pulled himself together from hearing a knock at the door... Lol - it's a work in progress. Feeling very positive overall and excited to see them continue to build a good relationship.
Shivani was great. My dog took to her right away at our meet-and-greet. She was one of the first dog-walkers we used when I started working long hours, and my dog had some trouble getting comfortable with near-strangers coming to walk him. She was very patient with him and stayed with him for an hour (even though she was only supposed to do a half hour walk), trying to work through his shyness. Shivani is compassionate, reliable, and communicative!
Shivani made me feel like I was there with her and my dog! I received texts when she arrived, notes and photos from her during the visit, and a summary with a map and duration of their walks. Wow! She shared concerns about Luna and we were able to have a conversation about them. It was like having a new best friend taking care of Luna. And Luna had a new best friend, someone who, when she (Luna) was too tired to walk, was happy to just be there with her and give her love and snuggles. Thank you!

Schedule
I work primarily from home, so I can sometimes take more urgent requests. I am also able to come more frequently on weekends and holidays.
