Safety, trust & environment
If you leave detailed instructions, I will follow them to a T. I can also provide photos frequently to show your pet having fun and relaxing at home safely. If a concern arises, I will immediately notify you no matter how small. You can always reach out about anything and everything, I love communicating and would want the same if someone was caring for my animals.
Information Sheyenne H. would like to know about your pet
Below is in-depth for dogs and cats but for an animal that I watch over, take for a walk or drop in; I would like to know if you have any medical or behavioral concerns about them that you’d like me to watch for. Ex: Dog had loose stool this morning, owner would like me to check if it’s gotten better when I drop in for a quick potty. It’s important for me to know how your dog reacts to new people outside & inside the home, how they walk on the leash & what you use (collar, harness, prong collar, etc) Are they food, toy or affection motivated and any precautions needed for leaving the home(kenneling, giving treats to distract, blocking with baby gate, needing music, etc) For cats, I would appreciate knowing how they are about new people, if they are indoor only or indoor/outdoor, are they treat motivated and if they prefer being pet or wanting their space
A typical day
I will take your dogs breed into consideration for any mental stimulation I may provide along with exercise. A good example is my dog, Estella, is a pitbull beagle mix. Beagles love to smell so I will provide her with sniff mats, puzzle toys and frozen treats. If your pup is high energy, then our focus will be to tire them out with exercise and playtime along with mental stimulation. If your dog is more of a cough potato like mine, I will of course exercise their body and mind but I will also focus on having relaxing breaks. For cats, it will help to know what their favorite activity is like playing with a feather toy or scratching a cat post. I will try to focus on that while providing mental and physical stimulation.

Pet care experience
I’ve worked & volunteer at shelters for about 5 years and have experience working with different types of dogs such as reactive, fearful, shy and friendly; as well of many different breeds. I was crossed trained as a veterinary assistant and have given medication before. I’m currently enrolled at Animal Behavior Institute to complete my certification in Advanced Canine Training and Behavior and with Method K9 for the Level 1 Certification.

Reviews
Hello, Sheyenne was nothing shy of an amazing mentor and leader when I worked with her at the Spokane Humane Society. She always showed an astonishing level of compassion for all the animals and when warranted, people as well. She maintained a positive attitude and relationship with the animals even on the hard days. Sheyenne always made sure to step in and help whenever and wherever it was needed, including walking dogs, transporting animals and handling difficult situations. I believe she would be a fantastic addition to any company, especially anything animal related. Thank you, Jordan V.
