Pet care experience
I had a dog for 10 years, helping with training like sit and shake, all the way to helping my dog as a senior. I frequently volunteer on KC Pet Project animal shelter where I have given dogs of all sizes dog day outs! I know how to handle a very excited pup all the way to a mellowed out dog! I am very patient with all animals and love giving them the attention that they need. While my own dog was going through cancer in his final months I took him to all his vet appointments, kept on top of all his medicine and physical care.

Shelby loves dogs! She is responsible and caring for any animal that she has been around. Our family pet was her best friend and she was giving of attention to him. He loved her too! Her focus on our dog gave us a comfort knowing he was in good hands with her while we were away. She gave us updates and pics if we wanted to show us how he was doing. I would recommend her to take care of a pet for sure!
Shelby was always more than willing to take care of my dog or any neighbors dogs when they were gone. She is very caring for them and will do whatever they need too. She would take mine for walks which they enjoyed. I never worried about my dog while being out of town. She has always grown up around dogs and always took a liking to them.
I have know Shelby Pace for a few years now and I go to her for all on my dog needs. First of all, she is a dog lover and treats pets with so much care. She ensures that the pets are always taken care of and given the attention they deserve. Second, she is always on time and accountable. I have trusted her to watch my dogs many times before and she is never late. She is reliable and trustworthy; whether you need her to pet sit, take your little friend in a walk, or attend to your pets needs, she is always going to be on time and complete the job with perfect and care. Lastly, she is very personable and easy going. Upon meeting her, you can tell she is a pet person and, honestly, one of the nicest people I’ve meet. So, if you need anything pet related, I’d recommend using Shelby because she is patience, loving, and accountable.

I will make it a priority to visit your pet 3-5 times a day. Providing them with walks, playtime, snuggles and food. I will ensure safety for your pet by taking them out regularly, making sure their water bowl is replenished and hopefully keeping them a happy dog while the client is away! If your pet is a senior dog I have experience with administering oral pills for your pup, applying cream, eye drops, or any other kind of medication. If you pet is a pup I can provide safety from other dogs to reduce the risk of harm to your pup and the other pooch.

I would love to know your dog’s personalities! If they are a hyper, slow going, shy, or maybe a reactive pup, I would love to know any information about them. Please let me know if you have a special needs dog, a senior dog that needs medication because I would love to provide any extra attention that they need! I don’t have any preference for dogs, I love them all, big and small.
A typical day
During drop in visits I would love to take your dogs for walks, whether that’s their favorite walking locations or a new park in the Lawrence community! I will provide lots of cuddles and love if that’s what your pet likes, or I can provide extra play time for those super active pups! The drop in visits can be as long as you would like and I can cater to any of the pets needs! Giving them treats, food and water throughout the day.

Availability
I am currently a college student at the University of Kansas. My class schedule allows me to visit/walk your furry friends starting at 10:30 in the morning all the way to the late hours of the night! Helping your pet will allow me and your pup to get the exercise and fresh air that we both need. With my class schedule I can ensure your pet will walk in the morning before it becomes too hot and drop in any time of the day.
