Your pups are gonna love me! <3
Pet care experience
I have been around animals and taking care of animals since I was ten years old, even though my grandparents never allowed me to take the strays within our home. I would still give them food and water, when i got hold enough i would take the stray animals to rescue shelters in hopes they would find a home that would love them! I also spent two years working withing a dog boarding and daycare building, the animals there loved me! I played with them often, watch out for any signs of aggression or illness. I took them outside every hour for bathroom breaks, would help with feeding and cleaning. And during overnight shifts I would clean the rooms while the pups were sleeping cage free in our couch rooms! I would check on them every now and then, made sure they had water to drink through out the night. And now i am doing online college for a bachleors degree in animal science, I really plan on becoming a veternarian or zoologist because as much as i love animals such as dogs and cats, I also love wildlife animals as well!

Reviews

Shantaya had great communication! I originally chose another sitter who didn’t reply right away. Shantaya very responsive. She helped my very anxious dog feel comfortable during the fireworks on the Fourth of July. My house was left intact and tidy. I would recommend Shantaya for dog care and I will book her in the future.

Shantaya Did an AMAZING job caring for my Ramses in my home. She was caring and attentive and kept regular communication of Ramses well-being. Ramses is a LARGE by LOVABLE Pit mix who can sometimes be hard to handle because of his playful nature. Shantaya was up for the task and went above and beyond in care and service. I highly recommend her.

Caring for pets, whether in my home or a client's home, involves several important steps to ensure their well-being and happiness. Here are some general guidelines: Understand the Pet's Needs: Like feeding time, Grooming, Potty breaks, Keeping the litter clean, Medication if need be and lots of attention. Species and Breed: Different species and breeds have specific needs. Research the particular requirements of the pet you are caring for. Dietary Needs: Ensure you know the pet's dietary requirements, including any allergies or special diets. Provide Proper Nutrition: Feed the pet according to its dietary needs and schedule. Ensure fresh water is always available. Maintain a Clean Environment: Regularly clean the pet's living area, including litter boxes, cages, or aquariums. Ensure the pet's bedding is clean and comfortable. Exercise and Mental Stimulation: Provide regular exercise appropriate for the pet's species and breed. This could include walks, playtime, or interactive toys. Engage the pet with activities that stimulate their mind, such as puzzle toys or training sessions. Health and Grooming: Regularly check the pet for signs of illness or injury. Keep up with veterinary check-ups and vaccinations. Groom the pet as needed, which may include brushing, bathing, or nail trimming. Safety: Ensure the environment is safe and free from hazards. This includes securing toxic substances and ensuring the pet cannot escape. Social Interaction: Spend quality time with the pet to provide companionship and reduce stress. Emergency Preparedness: Have a plan in place for emergencies, including knowing the location of the nearest veterinary clinic. By following these guidelines, I can ensure that pets in my care are healthy, happy, and safe.

I can typically cat or dog sit at owners houses at anytime of the week but do be mindful that i do work a part-time job at petsmart! So just reach out discuss times and days with me! A typical day
I love to stimulate your dogs! Physically and mentally. We’ll play a bunch of games, check out all the new smells around the neighborhood and explore dog parks in the area! Make sure they stay hydrated, may spoil them with a small amount of treats if they are allowed to have them! If I am cat sitting I would make sure to use active cat toys to motivate your kitties to play and exercise! I will also put on cat tv for abit of down time! If the cat is used to go outside with a harness i will not have an issue taking the feline outside for some nature walks or exploring! They will also receive lickable cat treats if allowed!
