I have a ton of experience with reactive dogs, dogs that are scared of strangers, and dogs with high needs. I am very good at reading the energy a pet is giving off and adapting to their needs to make them comfortable and happy. I am probably the most trusted person you can find on this app as I am a local realtor and am accessing and locking up at least 4 new homes a day. I can be trusted to be overly communicative and provide photo / video updates of your pets to show you how well our time together is going 😊

I have experience with dogs who are nervous and reactive and sensitive to different environments such as strangers, loud noises, bicyclists, other dogs, etc and am very aware and courteous of my surroundings at all times. Just let me know your dogs triggers so I can be alert and prepared to assist them the best they need.
A typical day
I love finding out each pets unique personality and what they love. A typical day would be to show up to wagging tails, take our time sniffing around their favorite spots, playing ball or frisbee or tug of war, enjoying a good view whether that’s at a park, on a trail or at the beach, and dropping off a sleepy pet.

I have a special place in my heart for rescue dogs—especially big, beefy pups with quirky personalities, reactivity, or extra care needs. Having rescued three pit bull mixes myself, I understand that every animal is unique and deserves patience, love, and understanding. Whether your dog needs a slow stroll to stop and smell the flowers or an active walk with plenty of play and tug time, I’m happy to match their energy and give them exactly what they need to feel comfortable and happy. Animals have always been my passion, and my dream is to one day open an animal rescue and rehabilitation center. As a real estate agent in San Diego, I spend a lot of time at my computer or driving around town, so pet sitting gives me the perfect excuse to get outside, enjoy our beautiful city, and spend time with amazing animals. I do this because I genuinely love caring for pets, not because I need the income. Shannon is a genuine dog lover and truly the only person I trust with my high-needs Great Dane/Pit Bull mix. My dog can be a handful, but Shannon has always been incredibly patient, reliable, and attentive to his needs. Not only do I completely trust her with his care, but she’s even helped improve his leash manners and made walks much more enjoyable for both of us. It’s clear how much she cares about the dogs she works with, and my dog absolutely loves spending time with her. I live in San Diego and Shannon is always my first call when I need someone to care for my two pit bull mixes while I’m out of town. One of my dogs is young and reactive, while the other has medication needs, and Shannon does an amazing job handling both of their very different personalities and needs. Shannon is my go-to pet sitter for all four of my pets—two dogs and two cats. She always goes above and beyond to make sure they’re happy, comfortable, and well cared for. My dogs get so excited when they see her because she takes them to their favorite parks and gives them plenty of attention and exercise. What I appreciate most is that she shows just as much love to my cats, even when she’s mainly there for the dogs. It’s obvious that she’s a true animal lover and genuinely enjoys spending time with all of them. My pets absolutely adore her, and I always feel completely at ease knowing they’re in her care.
