My Best Friends are 4-Legged 🐾

Pet care experience

I have worked in the veterinary and animal care industry for 25 years. I love my career and would love to take care of your kids on the side when you need me. My extensive experience makes me very well-suited for providing care to those of you who own pets with chronic medical conditions who may require more supervision and understanding of what they are going through than your average caretaker. I have an extensive background with both cats and dogs, and love them equally (I own and adore both myself). If your baby is in need and you would like some peace of mind while you are away, let me know!

Shannon is the ultimate animal whisperer. Our dog and cat love her and thrive in her care. We are blown away by how well she handles our dog, an energetic Malinois mix!

Shannon has a great ability to communicate with pets. Her love and caring causes them to trust and respond to her. She's very athletic and loves going for walks and playing fetch. Her happy personality and medical training make her an ideal care provider.

Shannon and I have been good friends and colleagues for several years. We also share a mutual love of animals. Shannon also has a background in animal husbandry and behavior that make her uniquely suited for pet sitting. I know she would cater to the needs of each pet under her care.

I can bring your babies into my home while you are away, or if needed and/or preferred, I can also care for them in your home, as I know that some pets just prefer to be home best to be most at peace. I do have an extremely friendly older dog who would love to have friend(s) to visit with and so if your dog(s) want a doggie friend (and even cat(s) 😄 if yours are like mine and love dogs haha), we can make introductions and they can have a great time together. If your pet(s) decide they would prefer to not mingle during their stay, that is also not a problem and we can arrange their own space during their stay. While at my home, I utilize baby monitors so that when I am away from home I can still check on and even talk to your babies at any time, providing both you and me peace of mind knowing that they are never really alone. My home is a very quiet and peaceful place, and I do not have any stressors like kids or loud obnoxious neighborhood dogs that may cause anxiety during their stay. I live in a very quiet neighborhood and will be able to go on great walks with our kids if they like that without fear of traffic or other animals around.

Information Shannon M. would like to know about your pet

It is very important that I know about any medical issues you are currently dealing with. Please provide a list of any medications and supplements, diet instructions and any known diet limitations at the time of your pets stay. If needed, please provide appropriate veterinary records and a limited Power of Attorney for Pet Emergency Care if you feel that your pet may be more likely to need medical care while you are away. It is important to know that if one is not provided prior to your departure and a medical emergency occurs, you may be required to provide approval in real time to a veterinary emergency center or your veterinarian of choice.

A typical day

It is important for dogs to have new experiences and regular exercise, so I will definitely ensure there are regular walks that meet each dogs needs and play time as they see fit. I will ensure our kitty friends get as much play as they are interested in and everyone will of course get tons of cuddles.
