I am a teacher in Darlington during the weekdays, and leave around 7 AM. Typically, I am not back in Florence until 4 PM, but my afternoons and weekends are always open for you and your pups!

A typical day
I love creating puzzles and mental challenges like snuffle balls or scavenger hunts for higher energy pups! My favorite thing to do is sprinkle them in between physical exercise and mealtimes to give your pup something to look forwards to, especially in this hot weather!

I grew up with large breed dogs quickly earning myself the nickname ‘Mikey’ after my willingness to do anything for any pet, and I’ve been training dogs of all ages and breeds ever since I was fourteen! I’ve been training dogs professionally for over three years, but I’ve done training for neighbors, family, and friends for years before that.

Mikey was really amazing when I asked him to look after my dogs while I was planning a move. He was extremely patient and attentive when I told him about some of Haku’s unusual quirks and was willing to follow the specific instructions that I had left him with. Not only that but he also helped me by providing advice when I voiced some of the difficulties I had with how Bori always pulled when I took him walking. He advised me to try out a gentle leader collar when my martingale harness didn’t seem to work and that was genuinely so helpful with lessening how much my dogs pull now. Mikey also gave me a list of dog toys to help manage my dogs’ high energy when I had to work from home which is how i found out about snuffle mats and treat balls and how much my dogs love them. He was always very honest and straightforward with his advice about things I could do at home in order to make sure my dogs were happy and satisfied. And i’m not really a dog expert so it was a relief to have somebody who knew more about dog breeds and their behaviors. Overall, it always felt like he genuinely did care for my dogs’ wellbeing.
Mikey has been absolutely amazing in helping me with training my dog Theo, and has taught me extremely helpful skills to use both for getting him to listen better and stop pulling as much when I take him out on walks! Mikey's knowledge on dog behavior has made training my own dog go much quicker, and he's exceptionally easy to ask training questions to even when he isn't around!
