Pet care experience
I have had pets my whole life. My first cat grew up with me. My parents got him while I was in Preschool. I have many fond memories of him, and used to help with his care whenever I could. I have house/dog sat for neighbors while I was growing up. I have experience raising a Pitbull, he was an awesome brindle coated sweetheart. He was my roommate's dog but I loved him as I would my own. I also raised a Shiba Inu, she was amazing. So beautiful, and loyal. She was my best friend for 14 wonderful years. Anyone who knows that breed knows that they can be especially challenging, but we got along great. I volunteer at Cascades Humane Society in Jackson. I love going there in my free time to walk dogs, cuddle or play with cats or just try to help with anything I can. Currently my close family (parents and siblings) have six dogs and six cats combined between all of us. I am also the Dogfather to some of them, and they would come to me if anything happened. Right now I have a 13 year old rescue cat named Daisy. She gets special food from the vet, and regular pills. She also gets lots of love and lap time. I also have a Norwegian Buhund puppy. He is super friendly and outgoing. I have walked dogs of all sizes and personalities. From Huskys that want to go, go, go! to lazy little dogs just want to sniff and stroll.
Reviews
Scott has shown nothing but love and affection for our three dogs! He treats them like his own. Every dog he's come across he has been respectful and kind!
I have three dogs that Scott regularly cares for. He always treats them extremely well and provides them with tons of love and pets. I would always trust him with any of my dogs.
Scott loves animals, especially dogs, and it shows in all his interactions with the fur babies. You can count on him to be reliable, loving, and kind. I was so nervous to get my first ever puppy and Scott has been helpful and supportive every step of the way. He's someone you can really count on! My dog adores him and does all the happy, squeaky noises and dancing wiggles when Scott arrives. I'm thrilled to see him making his talents available on Rover.com officially so many more pets can benefit from his affection.
From the moment that Scott walks in the door, it is clear that my four-legged furry dude, Gordie, adores him. It is plain to see that the feeling is mutual as Scott showers my pup with extra pets, love, and attention. As a first time "dog momma," I admit that I am overprotective and can name the number of individuals I would trust to look after my dog on one hand. Scott is absolutely at the top of that list! I whole-heartedly recommend Scott without any hesitation as he will love your furry family member as if it was his own beloved pet.

Safety, trust & environment
I spent years as a maintenance man for a property management company. I also spent years as an appliance repair man. Respecting people, their homes, and furry friends is nothing new to me. I have been trying to absorb as much information about animal behavior as possible and do my best to communicate with animals in a way they understand. Giving your dog a friendly greeting is very different from how most people greet them. Some need some time and an indirect approach. Walking straight toward a dog head on is instinctually considered quite rude in canine interactions. Cats also have their own language and way of doing things. I try hard to always respect that.
Information Scott C. would like to know about your pet
Special needs or treats (allergies), typical behavior (reactivity, excessive pulling, nippy, etc). The dog's favorite things (treats, toys, affection/attention or any combination of things). I’d prefer that your dog is on a harness, regular collar or martingale. I want your dog to have a positive experience.
A typical day
I like to engage them mentally whenever possible. Dogs that are thinking are less emotional and stressed, therefore less likely to become reactive or overstimulated. I also like to let dogs have some of their walk to just do their own thing and let them sniff. We walk dogs for their own well being and happiness. I try real hard to make sure it's all about them. There are many great parks, trails, and places for dogs in my service area. The particulars depend on location and the dog's needs and preferences.

Availability
With our own fur baby. We have a regimented feeding schedule with our cat. Breaking up her can of food into many smaller meals throughout the day to help her with her conditions. Our dog gets multiple daily walks and lots of attention as he is still just a pup and prone to “tasting” things he shouldn’t. We’re doing lots of redirection.
