Pack leader for all dogs

Pet care experience

We have enjoyed having dogs companions for the last 23+ years. We don't have kids so dogs are family and have our full attention. In addition to our own dogs, we have also fostered several rescued dogs and helped them to find good forever homes. Since the Spring 2016, we have volunteered with a local animal rescue group, including caring for dogs at the shelter and fostering. We had the opportunity to work with a dog behaviorist in helping to socialize some of the dogs at the shelter, which was a great hands-on learning experience. Currently we have 3 dogs with the newest addition in Oct 2017, all of which have been rescues. Our previous adoption, we were fostering but saw the potential in his behavior and attitude, so we adopted him and he now the role model of having shelter dogs help socialize other rescue dogs and participate in pack walks. Daily routine of 2 meals, plenty of time together and going out as often as possible. Administering medicine is not a problem. We believe and practice having clear boundaries and limitations for the dogs and positive reinforcement. We provide a comfy and cozy home environment during their stay. We have a peaceful location with a large front and back yard for the dogs to enjoy, a large deck in the back and plenty of room in the house to spread out and relax. Scott is home most of the day. They will go on a walk every day if desired and the weather permits. There is also an indoor play area when if the weather is bad. Since we don’t have a fenced yard, we will always have them on a leash when outside. We look forward to meeting you and your dog and can try to customize the daily routine for your specific needs.

Annie and Scott are great dog sitters. My dog Henry had a very good time with them, he liked to play and cuddle with their friendly dogs, they have a big yard, an indoor play area in the house and take the dogs for nice walks. I received many written updates with pics, so I was always informed well and knew that Henry is doing well. When I picked Henry up, he was in a very good mood, so we will for sure return for more dog sitting. Thanks so much for taking good care of Henry!

This is our second time with Scott an Annie. They have watched our 8 month old boxer. Does a great job sending pics and videos. Our dog is in a raw diet and they said no problem. You honestly could ask for a better dog sitter! Thank Scott an Annie

Scott and Annie were so accommodating and understanding when our plans changed last minute and we had to drop Cole off a day early with an hour's notice. He was well cared for and got lots of attention from them and their own 2 furry friends as well. (Jury is still out on how the cat felt about all of it. LOL) we got daily pics and even a map of one of his walks! Scott also gave him a brushing (always a fun experience!) I would recommend Scott and Annie to anybody looking for a sitter. We have already booked our next visit.

Walking from home provides a great outdoor experience with minimal traffic, tons of fresh air, hills, farmland and occasional wildlife sightings (deer, fox, squirrels and turkeys). From 30 mins to 2 hours, there are various routes we walk depending on the dog's energy and current weather/temperature. Going to the Ironton rail trail or one of the nearby parks is always a great option for a walk and outing.
