I work part time so I have plenty of time and a lot of flexibility to be there for my pet clients. I hope to make this my full time and only job as I absolutely can't think of anything I would rather do....you will never work a day in your life if you love what you do.

I find that each situation and home and pet is different so it all depends on my clients needs. Its very important to have any pertinent information regarding doors that must be closed and/or locked or left open, any medical or dietary issues I need to be aware of, behavioral issues or concerns. I make sure to ask the right questions and get all the information clearly communicated. I am very aware around my own pets and those of my clients and notice when there is a difference in behavior, poo, activity level and report any concerns immediately to pet parents. I'm extremely cautious when coming into contact with other people or pets while taking your dog(s) on a walk - I keep my space and keep your pet safe.

A typical day
My dogs and I love walking along the canal by our house because we get to see ducks, birds and all kinds of other wildlife that we wouldn't normally see in the city.

Pet care experience
I have had 5 dogs (at times we even had 6) for the past 12 years...and I can truly say Dogs are my life. I am the main caretaker for our crew. I'm responsible for their feeding, grooming and daily walks. I get the not so fun duties too, like poo cleanup and vet appointments but I love them like their my children so I do it gratefully. I have cared for dogs, cats and birds for 3 of my neighbors as well. I have been in situations where I have found injured animals and have had to drop everything and rush them to the nearest emergency veterinarian clinic. I've been in dangerous situations and had to break up fights between pit bulls as well. I've also volunteered at the Humane Society for a couple of years, helping with dog adoption events and also volunteering at the Dobbins facility socializing cats who are waiting to be adopted.

My kitties hate when we leave, but Sarah keeps them happy and healthy until we return. We think she's great!
Sarah once again gave us peace of mind while we were out of state for a week. It's so comforting to know that everyone was eating well and that they had fresh food, water, and clean cat boxes every day!!! All 3 cats even come out of hiding to spend time with Sarah...she's so good with all of them!
Sarah again exceeded our expectations! Our setup changed and the food, water, and cat boxes have been separated into different rooms, and she still maintained everything just as well as before! Her communications with us, and the pictures she sends, always put us at ease when we are away from home!
Sarah once again provided excellent service by not only taking exceptional care of our cats, but by also looking over our plants and bringing in unexpected packages while we were gone. We really appreciate her attention to detail, and the pictures!!! The pictures are great!!!
