Outside of owning and caring for my own dogs & cats growing up or in recent years, I've also gained pet care experience through private hire pet-sitting, working at a doggie daycare and being here on Rover! When I was private hired, I took care of 2 sweet pitties who lived in an LA apartment while their fur parents traveled, and I stayed overnight with them. They were the beginning of my pet care journey for my first year & gave me a ton of experience into the pet-sitting world! Later on, I left LA and came out here to Austin where eventually I ended up as a front desk employee of a doggie daycare. At that job I learned much more about dog behavior & about fear-free tactics! So, while pups came and went for daycare or boarding, I was able to learn how to approach dogs no matter how hyper, shy or scared they were w/ a lil extra compassion than I already had. During my time at the doggie daycare and even after, I began officially working here through Rover, where I originally offered overnight pet-sitting services and managed to get 3 regular clients while still allowing for new ones as my schedule allowed. My biggest job I've had was caring for 3 pups and 1 cat. That overnight stay allowed me to learn and add to my resume that I know how to successfully walk 3 dogs in one go!!! Otherwise, I've also had the pleasure to also care for pups who were seniors and/or had special care needs such as needing diapers for incontinence and help with walking due to paralysis in their legs. I've done what I can to make sure someone's pet(s) are cared for in the same way their owner would care for them as well! Now after having taken a break for a while due to my own personal life needs from housing to a new job and other personal matters & changes, I'm back to start back up my pet care services in a new way! I do not offer overnight pet-sitting due to my own fur baby wanting me to be home with them every night now, but I can offer walks and drop-ins as a way to make sure your own fur baby is loved and cared from while you're away!
