This was the first time boarding my lurcher Lily, Sarah and her family really make the dogs feel at home, and treat them like one of their own. I had total peace of mind and Lily cannot wait to stay again! Thank you Sarah so glad we found you

Sarah is extremely thorough and has been an exemplary, professional dog carer. I chose Sarah not for their convenience - but for their thoroughness. Being a sighthound owner can sometimes be like having a child with how sensitive they can be - Sarah made this process as painless and howl of death free as possible. Excellent first impression - will be using them in the future.

Before finding Sarah-Jayne my lurcher Fen had only ever stayed with close friends who she knew well so I felt apprehensive dropping her off with a professional sitter for the first time: I booked Fen in for a short holiday and she had her trial sleepover a couple of weeks before. On arrival to drop Fen off for her trial Sarah-Jayne immediately eased my worries as I could see how dedicated she was to the dogs in her care and I knew that I was leaving Fen in really good hands. Fen did struggle with her trial sleepover and was quiet and anxious for the full 24 hours, we weren’t sure how she would react going back for 3 nights a couple of weeks later, but to everyone’s delight she walked in tail wagging and proceeded to have a really good stay, coming out of her shell much more than her previous visit. It was so lovely for me to have a bit of a break knowing that Fen was safe and happy and so well cared for — 100% recommend to any anxious sighthound owners!

We could not have asked for a more perfect home from home, for our two whippets. The fact that they trotted up to her door from the car on their drop off day, after a previous trial night, said it all. Sarah-Jayne is knowledgable about sight hounds and totally gets them and their quirks because after all they are not really dogs. She gave them love and affection and kept us updated with photos and videos so we could relax knowing that the boys were having a lovely time with S-J's family which is what you really need when you leave your beloveds to go on holiday. So many thanks

Schedule

Home boarding is my full time job. I have a licence with Gosport Council, insurance and I am doggy first aid trained. I don't take noisy dogs or dogs with separation anxiety so bad that I can't leave the room, as I have neighbours both sides. As per my licence requirement from my council, all dogs must have a trial sleepover before their longer stay.

It's important for me to know if anything triggers your dog. For example one of our guest sighthounds is triggered when I vacuum and mop. Another has severe sleep startle. Another is reactive to whoever is walking her when she sees a cat. If I am forewarned then your dog's holiday with us will go smoothly. I also need the food you're packing for their stay to be what they know and love - it will not be left down all day due to the other dogs in the home. They must wear a collar throughout their stay, which I will attach a GPS tracker to.
