I’ve always been a crazy animal lady. I’ve had cats, dogs, rats, fish, and I even kept a praying mantis for almost two years! I also grew up staying after school to care for the class snakes, Romeo and Juliet, so I’m very comfortable with your less furry babies! I’m the go to pet sitter for many of my friends and their family’s pets and have pet sat for them up to three weeks at a time. I’ve owned both senior cats and dogs and am experienced in giving liquid medications, subcutaneous fluids, and pills. I currently have to pill my cat nightly, give subcutaneous fluids every other day, and administer liquid medication weekly, so I’m keeping those skills sharp! My home is all on one floor, so no need to worry about stairs for the arthritic babies. I also have some pet stairs if they need help getting up on the couch or the bed. I have a variety if small to medium, orthopedic pet beds and some smaller heated bed your pet is welcome to take advantage of. I also understand that sometimes our older friends have accidents. I have plenty of cleaning supplies and compassion for those moments, so no need to worry if your fur baby is a little leaky. I’m a homebody, so you can be assured I will be here with your pet 99% of the time to let your pet outside or to take care of medical needs. I’ll only be gone to run short errands, but would be happy to take your dog along if it’s a pet friendly errand and you feel comfortable with your dog in that space. I love to have a reason to get my butt outside. So please let me use your dog (or leash trained cat) as an excuse to explore the neighborhood! I have a fenced yard with a small weatherproof heating pad if your pet likes to hang outside, but doesn’t want to get too chilly. I also live close to the Jordan River Parkway and live a mile from the Cottonwood Dog Park if you’d like me to take your dog to get some serious zoomies out! All walks will be on leash. Any off leash activity will be in an enclosed space that I am familiar with such as my yard or a fully fenced dog park. I like to meet all animals where they are at. Have a cautious or nervous pet? I’ll happily sit on the floor with some treats and let them decide when they want to come to me. Have an energetic pet? Let’s get those zoomies out stat! Have a cuddler? I have a massive sectional with washable covers, so let’s snuggle up! I am pet sitting full time and happy to work with you to accommodate all of your pet care needs! **My house sitting rates guarantee a minimum of 16 hours a day with you pet. This rate is negotiable for lesser time commitments. Also note, I can only spend up to 10 continuous hours house sitting a day so I can take care of my own cat’s medical needs.** **From November 19 to January 8, my base house sitting rate is $300/16 hour day** I want to make your pets as comfortable as possible while they are in my care. That means sticking to their routines, maintaining your house rules, and giving them a ton of love!
